So sorry to hear about your cat Mioliere knowing you did the right thing does not make it any less sad Hugs until you feel better.

I have not done much for the Hospice shop just a scarf, hat and mittens. I intend to knit lots of mittens once I have finished making Christmas presents. I don't know how to do colours.

I have one more repeat of the pattern and I have finished a scarf for my older DS. I measured our sofas yesterday and they are two meters long so
very useful for measuring men's scarfs. No measuring tape to wind back up.

I must have been busy the 4mm needles I had to buy when I started knitting, lost one, (it must be somewhere in this room, was useful) not only have shinny silver tips but the paint is coming off on the first inch or so of the needles. They are not very good quality as we have only just moved here and I only had the market to buy them from. Still do really as not sure Google is giving right address for the hobby place and it is awkward to get to. Don't have a car. It could have moved as others have so it's on one of six retail parks. Not a good idea trying to find out by bus.

Ginnyknit- would Chalky's twirly whirlies work ?http://chalkygilbert.blogspot.co.uk/2011/11/do-you-fancy-twirl.html

Mrs mp- that is good news for a change.

Wet,wild windy day here. Stuff flying all over the place in the garden. I will NOT be going out to rescue/shift it as I would be drowned by the time I got it done. Rain is practically horizontal the way the wind is blowing. Had to go to the bank earlier and got soaked. Dogs are not impressed either, they just looked at me as if to say, Do we really have to go out in THAT?

Looks like it's a day for knitting. Shame.

Congratulations Mrs mp all those lovely little things to knit. I may of a dgs of only 15 months but like Chalky mine is in the Middle East (Saudi Arabia) and he does not need many warm clothes. Now they have moved north they do have a little winter but it is more like the last month rather than the weather today.

Thought I would have a break from knitting scarves and done a couple more pairs of mittens last night and tonight. Will take them to the Hospice shop when I have a few more. Hundreds of mums and littlies go past every day to and from school. I hope they sell well.
