mrs-m - wow thats a fantastic hat
chalky - have a great celebration/holiday for the sporty ones special birthday
kboss - love the quilt
dibuzz - you sure have been busy
ginny - did you rescue anything from hobbycraft
psso - I have done a couple on a knitting loom and they have turned out ok, but the one I have been doing lately and I must say my favourite is one I saw on a blog it is sooo easy and knitted on big needles I used 8mm for one then 9mm for another just to see how loose it turned out, and James C Brett chunky yarn. It's knitted as a scarf then joined, easy peasy, and addictive
Here's the pattern...
Cast on 30 sts
Knit 4 rows (I did just one row knit as I joined mine into a cowl)
1st row ... K1,P1 to end
2nd row ...K1, P1 to end
3rd row ... K to end
4th row ... K to end
Repeat last 4 rows until desired length .
Knit 3rows, (again I did just one row knit same as the start)
cast off
Join ends to create a cowl or leave straight for scarf
I made a twist in mine before I joined it, to make it a bit different
Have fun
In a rush nothing new there then !!!;)
Sending love'n'hugs to all TTFN

kboss lovely job on the quilt. I use Ikea fleeces for everything
Did I rescue any yarn from Hobbycraft well i was a good girl just one ball of Wi pink yarn for my knitted piggies :T however I also got 6 balls of scarf yarn from Kemps for about £6 - would be rude to refuse and have done 1 and a half scarves already - so quick. Its those ruffly ones where you pick the edges of a strip of pre- knitted fabric.
Oh and my Age concern sells new yarn so got 6 balls from there to go with the 3 I found in my bag on wheels from a month ago so all stocked up....I really cannot help it....Clearing the junk to travel light

Lovely hat, Mrs Moneypenny.
I use IKEA fleeces too-cheaper than buying fleece by the metre. I did manage to get a large cream fleece reduced in Sainsburys recently. I shall use it to back the quilt I'm making for the spare bed once I get DDs scarf finished-if I ever get it finished. The next knitting project will be something in nice chunky yarn I'm fed up with lace!0 -
Thanks for the cowl pattern PippaS.
I have one 8mm and one 9mm needle, they are pretty coloure plastic and not sure if their partners have been broken at some time or if my little friend J has misplaced them, he used them as drumsticks !!:rotfl:
I also have an old pair of 00's so they will do instead. Might try it over the weekend IF my current blanket is finished first. I am being very strict with myself, finish one item before starting another.
Yes,well we'll see how long that lasts eh ?;)
(Have a few wip's lying around, but they will be finished off, in due course)

Latest makes, hope you like, the piggies are proving popular. Just hoping I can sell a few to help pay for a holiday in the spring.
This country drives me mad, just tried to buy a ball of baby blue dk online as I cant get out for a few days unless I get a bus which costs £4. So I thought find an e bay seller with low postage in the Uk - success! However it will take a week to come from Yorkshire  I could walk there quicker :rotfl:
