Thanks for the birthday wishes. I can't believe it's another year gone! I've had Skype problems so have been working on that today so that I can see the family when they call, especially DS1 (his birthday today, too!) It turned out that McAfee had blocked it; honestly, in computer-land there's always something, isn't there?
I'm having a lovely day, the sun is beaming, and the car is still working!

No crafting today. Been on pinterest looking for cheap and easy ideas for the school Christmas fair. Room will be set aside for the children to buy a pressie for mum or dad, it will be wrapped up for them and will only cost £1.
PTA suggested going to the pound shops and buying 2 for £1 items but I 'm trying to find something 'different'. Have one or two ideas but need to source inexpensive materials to experiment.
Will go and sit on the naughty step till the kettle boils. Feel cold and shivery so will fill my hottie and take it to bed.

morning all
sorry not had the puter on all weekend so please accept more belated birthday wishes from me kathy. i hope you had a lovely day.
thank you for the kind wishes re the funeral, the church was packed full which just summed up what a loved person my neighbour was. one of her grandsons bravely read out a poem at her funeral saying it was one his grandma had on her wall and had over time given each of her grandchildren their own copies of it and told them if they lived their lives by these words they wouldnt go far wrong. DH read it from the service sheet when i got home and said it was also the words from a song, we were sitting in the garden yesterday and 'you are a child of the universe' came on the radio along with the comment from the dj that at the time the lyrics were printed on what became a very popular poster.
google the words to Desiderata if you have time, it is beautiful.
we went to the cemertry and think we found Dh grandmothers grave, i think the reason she now has other occupants was that the plot was never actually purchased she was buried in a 'common' plot that i think you could have the option to buy but for some reason the family never did it was then reused and the next occupants family bought it. so please dont anyone worry about plots being sold on and reused if they have space in. i dont think the country is quite that full yet.
im back to the hospital with mil tomorrow for the scan, thank you for the good wishes for her. im hoping its not spread but reality is she left it so long before seeking advice it will be nothing short of a miracle if its not.
just did another 18 rows of scarf, ive set myself the goal of doing a section of pattern a day and managed 5 sections last week so happy with my progress.
hope all are well hugs to you allSPC~12 ot 124

The gorgeous weather has returned...how long for? who knows but I will enjoy it for as long as it last's
the virginia creeper in my garden looks beautiful and is day by day turning a brilliant vibrant red, makes a heck of a mess when the leaves all fall off, but it is so worth it for the few days when it is at its best, I will try and take a pic and post it so you can all have look
we are off to the hospital soon Mom was not too good yesterday my niece said, poor old thing she is so fed up and wants to come home, but the OT said not yet as she is much too frail and can't stand at all without assistance, she has been in for 7 weeks now no wonder she is fed up
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY Kathy I hope you enjoyed your day...:bdaycake::bdaycake::bdaycake:
