  • Mrs Moneypenny - thanks for the hug I really did need it.
That blocked drain is a proper PAIN.... It's taken both of us most of the day to just get it to drain the water away. DH is thoroughly sick of it - threatening a man or a digger and a new drain.... it isn't even ours, but as the wash handbasin from our boiler room runs into it and I use that sink when I have been in the garden, he feels we should at least try and clear it. It's choked with leaves and grit nearly the whole length when it leaves our courtyard. Simple solution would be we remove the sink in the boiler room - but if it all continues to back up any time it rains its our courtyard that will be flooded. So we have given up for the day and perhaps have another go at it later in the week (HE SAID YEAR).
Lots of Love and squishy cuddles (yep I am giving them away as well) to you all. Off for a shower and change of clothes, a stiff drink and something to eat

that's page two of the link explaining how to do (heart in a heart) but I got lost with the page numbers - that's why I have done a spreadsheet to work out where to start in the book etc........

    Hi everyone

Mrs Twins - your blog is looking fantastic!

Chalky - hope DD1 is recovering well and not in too much pain. I have pm'd you to ask if I can send you some mandalas for your September project. I think the cost of posting a shirt will be horrendous from here, but I would like to contribute so thought perhaps sending some mandalas would be something I could send that would be lightweight.

Jean - I will get round to trying the book-folding; at the moment it's on the back-burner but I have three whole days to myself next week, so should be able to set aside some time. Great spreadsheets! I don't envy you your drain problem; it sounds a real pain.

Mrs Moneypenny - your book-folding looks brilliant. Well done! Hugs to your MIL.

I will do the update tomorrow. Again, it's turning into a busy week here. I think I mentioned that DH will be working in the south of France from about 15th September; I will be going with him which will be a lovely break for me, especially as we will do a bit of travelling when he has finished his work. Meanwhile, I am earning the break by organising deliveries of all the building materials that are needed for the job, and liaising with suppliers. I don't mind but it's time-consuming because some of the stuff needs to come from the UK. Once that is all organised, I just have to decide what woolly projects to take with me, to do while I am lounging around the swimming pool, and in between bouts of bike-riding, eating and drinking!
