Mrs Mp lovely photo, proud Mummy moment!

Roamin, hope your ducks turn up x

Spent the week getting ready for Oh's 60th party on Sunday, how many places can you hide wool?? Worried about the weather, supposedly getting the end of a hurricane so thtas the bar-b-que off the plan

Im impatiently waiting for my tablet to arrive that OH and the kids bought me - there was an error as to who was actually buying it but its sorted now.

Had a bit of a sad day, my friend over the road is dying of cancer and I was very worried as her hubby has dementia however McMillan nurses have worked hard and she is now in hospital getting the care she needs, her hubby is in respite and their nasty dog is in kennels. Then got a phone call my cousin had a fall and was in hospital but was unresponsive. they switched the machines off this afternoon and she quietly passed away. Dd was so upset as she only saw her on Tuesday, cousin was shopping and Dd was working but she had a chat and gave her a hug. Im now on automatic pilot I think but Oh deserves his party and we ll decided to carry on with it as nothing will be gained by cancelling.

Hi everyone. I hope you are all keeping well, especially those who are poorly or looking after poorly ones. I've been feeling a bit under the weather this week, nothing I can put my finger on but just out of sorts. I hope I'm feeling better in the next couple of days because DS1 and his family are visiting for a few days. I hope the weather improves, too, because it's been really gloomy for the last few days, and we've had yet more thunderstorms which means everything has to be unplugged and I lose the internet until it's all blown over.

Funny that the little yellow ducks have been mentioned. I've yet to find mine on the map and have given up looking, so I will take a look in a minute.

I haven't been keeping an eye on the update, so will do that on Monday and try and catch up with the last two to three weeks.

    Lovely photo, Mrs Moneypenny!

Chalky - I hope you have settled into a happier routine after that lovely time with your family.

Ginnyknit - sending hugs to you.

The only woolly stuff I've managed to do this week is two headbands for DGD2 and DGD3 - it's DGD2's sixth birthday on the 18th so, along with other presents I have bought for her, I've made her a princess headband, and a Minnie Mouse one for her little sister. I've crocheted them on to plastic Alice bands. Who would have thought positioning Minnie Mouse ears would be such a problem?! The princess band was the one I thought I'd have trouble with, but it was easy. Still, they're done now. I just hope they like them!

Anyway, off to put the kettle on.

    Hello everyone.

I've been looking around for something to occupy my time, help with anxiety and depression and hopefully do something useful to help others. I used to love knitting when my children were small, over 35 years ago now, but have totally lost confidence in my ability.

I thought maybe start with simple hats for premature babies, but on surfing the net have been totally overwhelmed and confused by the number of sites/ patterns out there! I have some lovely 3 ply baby wool, lots of knitting needles in all sizes, but I'm struggling to find a suitable pattern that doesn't use double ended needles.

Could one of you kind people give me a link to an easy 3 ply pattern please?

Thank you very much in advance for any advice.
