Need new project now as Im bored again so think sewing a rag doll is next. then its Christmas making time.Clearing the junk to travel light

Just had a quick read through while I have a cuppa, we are not going to the Hospital today DS2 is taking DGS to see his Nanny Kath and she is really looking forward to seeing them.
She has slowly been up and about, showering with help, they fetch her in a wheelchair every morning and take her up for physio, and she loves sitting in a chair reading but is so worn out she tends to drop off to sleep.

Hi everyone
First of all, hugs to you, Pippa, and your mum. I am glad that she is recovering but what a worry for you.
Well, our visitors have finally gone but what a busy time we have had. The weekend was a non-stop social event with a party on Saturday evening and a barbecue on Sunday evening. I feel as if I have been doing nothing but catering for days now. While it's been great to catch up with friends and with DH's family, I am enjoying having the house more or less back to normal. I have to confess that I told DH, in no uncertain terms, to consult with me first in future before deciding on the spur of the moment to invite twenty people round for something to eat, after I have already shopped and cooked for two 'events'!
I have finally caught up with all the washing and ironing and can start to relax with my woolly stuff now. I have done a handful of baby hats and booties, a few more dishcloths - some of our guests really liked them, so I have given a few away. I am so glad I bought 1000 gms of dishcloth cotton! DGD2 has her sixth birthday next month, so I am looking on Pinterest for inspiration for something to make for her. She loves the Disney princesses and yesterday I found a lovely kit for her - a really nice Disney princess bag that can be coloured in with the special pens included. I know she will love it.
Anyway, I will catch up with all your posts and will also get the update done a bit later on today.

dibuzz, hope your hand is feeling much better.
kathy hope your mum is well

seakay, my loft needs doing as well but DH thinks everything up there is useful.

My hand is a bit better, it's my back now, I think I just need shooting!
Been to see the doc this morning, he's going to give me an injection in my thumb and said to keep up the painkillers and anti inflammatories for a few days for my back. It took me half an hour go get my socks on this morning
He was very pleased with how the increased AD meds are going though, he could see a big difference from last time.
Hopefully I will be able to get my needles and hooks out soon14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -
I don't think I would have bothered with the socks dibuzz..... it's plenty hot enough without them.
Tortoise was probably hunched down in the shell for most of the trip round the neighbours garden........MIL will be out soon as they get those meds fixed.
having a great few days - although we are getting the odd thunder and lightening - which is strange cos the sun is still out!
Ye all have a wonderful weekend.......back when I can

Puts popping in to say all is well.
A friend popped in and said " how wonderful the house has been williamised" and my goodness it has. Joy in every nook and cranny. We sat for at least an hour this morning with a digger truck.three bowls and a pile of pasta. We played taking the pasta to the dumps. Great gun.
Little monkey is finding it all too exciting to go to bed though!!!
I am making up some more hedgies for the hedgehog hospital as I know the school holidays have begun and I will get the shout soon. So, I would rather be prepared .
Lots of love to one and all. I just hope those caring, loving or just being are able to face each day with a smile xxxTry and do a good deed every day.0
