    Hi everyone

Lovely and sunny here - at least at the moment; it started off well yesterday then turned to rain.

We have a fosse septique (septic tank) inspection this afternoon; I have no idea what to expect because it's the first one since we had it installed.

Nursemaggie - I have tendonitis and can't knit due to the pain in my hands. I do try every now and again but it still hurts. I can crochet, however, without any pain, so I can still keep going. It would drive me mad if I had to give that up. Roamin in the Gloamin's suggestion to try Freecycle is a good one, and you could also ask local charity shops if they have any wool donations.

I meant to do a load more hats last night but, yet again, spent the entire evening asleep on the sofa! Better luck this evening, I hope.

Will pop back later. Someone is looking for their breakfast!

I think anyone would be getting short tempered after being there all that time.
I can't knit at the moment due to arthritis in my thumb joint but can still crochet, don't know what I'd do if I couldn't do either.

  • Snappy and short tempered is GOOD........keeps her focus on the big picture - I was likened to an alligator/crocodile SNAPPED AT EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING but it did help me to vent! Hang in there Mrs Moneypenny - run as fast as you need to, mil will keep up..
Wet today so I am off to cut out some more bunting for both my nephews gardens as a wee surprise for their summer.......... DH is off either Wednesday late night or early Thursday morning - YIPEEEEEEEEEEEE and he will deliver said bunting - provided I get my finger out.
Love and squishy cuddles to you all - back in a bit.

Mrs Moneypenny -that sounds like one heck of a day you all had yesterday. You must be glad it's over. Hugs to you and your MIL. I must admit that I've been called things in the past when I've failed to keep my cool in situations like that; DH says I can be like a snapping turtle, but Jean's right, sometimes it's necessary!

Jean - you sound like you are firing on all four cylinders. Hope you take time out to catch your breath.

Dibuzz - hugs to you; hope the pain does not keep hanging around.

Well, our fosse septique had its inspection this afternoon and passed with flying colours as a 'bon installation', so I am relieved about that, and soon to be relieved of €60 for the privilege of having it inspected! The chap who did it was really nice, especially once we started talking about the world cup and the fact that France is doing really well.

Anyway, off to put the kettle on.

postie has been and brought me a lovely reason to smile, thank you jean:) suns out here, im just going to finish taking up mils new PJs, i did one pair and DD2 took them round they fit right so im doing the rest now.

Hoping DD3 will pop round at some point today as its her birthday and she has some cards and pressies here.

Hello one and all ..glad to hear it's mainly good news today.

mrs Moneypennylove to your DMIL . What atrial. Let's hope it's well on the way to being sorted now.
Kathybrillient news on the honey sucker!
jeani agree with Kathy. You sound so busy . Make sure you fit in some " you " time too.
dibuzzsometimes my thumb plays up big time too. I try and ignore it. And like the rest of us I would be lost without my crafting.
nursemaggiesometimes if you tell the charity Shope you knit for charity they will keep wool back for you.

Well DD1 came for lunch with the delectable Buster. I think she is excited too. She went shopping in ToysRUs yesterday and brought William a Minions back pack. He will love that.
Then when giving Buster a rub she realised he had picked up a tick yesterday after his walk by the river. I am such a wimp with stuff like that. So I stayed by his head and talked to him whilst DOH and her got to grips with the tweezers. Yukky!

So as a treat we then took him for a walk up to the village green. It was glorious up there.

Well we are off to See Mrs Browns Boys the movie tonight so " that's nice!" No crafting for me.
Try and do a good deed every day.

Phew, just come in for a sit down and cool drink. Beautiful sunny day but too hot for me out the back, south facing.

Been out planting some trailing plants in a former water feature out front. It used to be a solar powered fountain but didn't get enough sun then frost killed the pump so have now got pretty flowers in it.:)

Weeds out back are nearly as tall as me so hoping that DS will attack the tops of them with the strimmer tonight, then I'll give them a nice wee drink of salty vinegar to kill 'em off. ;)

Went to the fishery yesterday and little J caught two trout ! Yay. Uncle didn't catch anything. Most miffed he was.

DD took me up to the wool shop but they only had one ball of the turquoise yarn I needed, order won't be in for about a fortnight says she. But I need it now ! So have decided to rejig the project and add in some white. Blanket will be finished before she gets the yarn in methinks.

Almost finished the fourth bodywarmer out of the 100g ball of pink random. Hoping there's enough to finish it,knitting faster so that I don't run out.:rotfl:
I'm such a twit, I should have weighed it to see if it would do :o

Enjoy the rest of the day folks.

Elaine - I'm so glad I'm not the only one who works faster in case the wool runs out! Why do we think it will make a difference?!

Chalky - I hate ticks. I did a bit of research on them once because one of the cats that think they belong to us picks them up. As soon as I learned that they were members of the spider family, I decided that DH does 'tick duty', not me! They are pretty disgusting, aren't they? One of those things for which there seems no logical purpose!
