Jean, just you tell him to grab a paintbrush and do it himself. Cheeky devil.
No lie in today, rehab at 9.30 so have to be dressed and breakfasted ready for DD picking me up after dropping little J at nursery.
Have a good day and I'll be back later.Fully paid up member of S.A.B.L.E.

morning all
lashing it down here so no washing or gardening planned for today, hoping it will stop before work as im really not in the mood for wet play time.
psso, glad it seemed to go well at appt, psysio sounds strenuous, hope leg continues to improve but ouch to the nuked fingers.
chalky i could do with a phantom pregnancy nesting urge at the mo, ive got really tardy with my cleaning, i feel like this week ive done loads and achieved nothing.
did a bit more hat band last night but wasnt concentrating so it all got pulled back and started again, id reversed the pattern, its only knit and row then knit 1 purl 1 along the row on the next but id turned it round a couple of times so it looked rubbish in places.
off to do something.
hugs to all who need themSPC~12 ot 124

Chalky - you are nesting in a grandmotherly way, which is almost like being pregnant, I think!
Elaine - glad you are progressing and hope they doctor is pleased with the leg the next time he sees it.
Jean - I hate painting, I really really do, so I admire you greatly!
Dibuzz - I often end up making cakes in the early hours.
I'm definitely feeling better now and hoping that it was just something I ate that disagreed with me. Thanks for all your kind thoughts.
Mrs Moneypenny - it started off lovely this morning then, as soon as I put the washing out, we had some of the lashing-down stuff, too; I left the washing out because I couldn't be bothered to get it in, and now the sun is beaming again. Fingers crossed it stays that way.
I made some more Innocent Smoothie hats last night and now I think they will be my current project for a while; I still have lots of little balls of wool and they are such a good way of using up every scrap. I am also making a cushion for each of my granddaughters, but am taking my time because they are for C********S! Sorry to remind you all, but it is now less than six months to go!

Whoop whoop... Only woke momentarily at 1.27! And then slept til morning . And there was a cup of tea by my bed when I woke. What service.
We have SIL's little Westie for the weekend so I hope the weather improves!
Kathy innocent smoothie hats are brilliant for the tails. Have you ever seen quillows... Brilliant with your new machine. How are you getting on with it?
jean my DOH won't let me near a paintbrush. My glossing is the worst. It looks like a waterfall!!! Actually I spent ages perfecting that look so I will not ever have to disturb crafting time!!
mrs Moneypenny I will pop round ASAP. I love sorting. My DD has booked me on Monday to do her wardrobes. Shame about the headband
dibuzz nice you have decided to stay .. We are always glad of new friends.
psso Good luck with the jigging today.
Well one week til our Dubai visitors come !

pretty much sums me up at the mo im beginning to feel like eyore with a gloomy cloud stuck over my head.
just thought id spend an hour sorting the boys rooms, 2 1/2 hours later!!! all ive done is clear enough carpet to dyson in there. going to finish what i can before work so house looks sanatary for the weekend then ill knit and stitch over the weekend with a clear conscience.

woudnt be so bad if that was the case but she thinks shes being squashed as shes also gained 6lbs. i told her 6lb in 4 years really isnt bad as thats the last time she weighed herself.
thunder has gone now and it stayed dry while we were at work but i got soaked walking home and its only just starting to slow down again now.

can i show you DD3s cakes shes been making

the beer ones were for her dad for fathers day, she put a bit of bud in them, i wouldnt have thought of using the lids and pulls as deccys on them. she always says shes not very crafty when she sees me knitting and sewing but i def think cake making like hers is a skill.SPC~12 ot 124

Stunning cakes, Mrs Moneypenny - she has an amazing talent!
Chalky - I just told DH when we met that I don't do decorating! Everyone else in my family loves it and is really good at it, so at times he feels a bit cheated! I hate the preparation, the actual decorating, and the clearing up afterwards; I always make a horrendous mess. I've just Googled 'quillows'; not sure if I'm ready for those yet! As for your forthcoming visit, the excitement is bursting off the page. You must be longing to see them all, especially William!

Smeee again.
Mrs mp, cakes look smashing, did your DH eat them all?
I used to make all the family birthday cakes, burger in a bun, aquarium, teddy, princess castle, man fishing in a pond, hickory dickory dock clock complete with moosie and many more. Loved doing fiddly things back then and the supermarkets didn't do fancy cakes then.
Had a chuckle when you said mil had shrunk. I was told I was 4ft 7 ins last time I was pregnant.......I've been 5ft 1 since I was about 14 so told the nurse she had better get her eyes tested. She was adamant she was right.
Chalky, we can feel the waves of excitement, not long now till cuddle time.
Jean, painting all done yet?
Got through the exercises this morning, was getting a bit puffed though.
Must have been more tired than I thought, fell asleep this afternoon (lost two hours) so not much done here today. There's always tomorrow.
Hope the thunderstorms haven't done any damage, we had quite a pleasant day, cloudy but fairly warm.
Have a nice evening everyone.Fully paid up member of S.A.B.L.E.
