They are brilliant and she's certainly not missed the crafty gene.14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -
Good evening one and all.
Cakes look yummy and I could eat one right now. It's all this talking about them.
A van called yesterday selling fish. We thought we would give it a try. He had definitely kissed that Blarney Stone.
Well we just tried some of the superior prawns ... Hmmmm they were so superior you could not even taste them!! So he had better not knock again.
psso have you got to go every day?
Kathyi am with you. That also goes for car washing.
mrs Moneypennysome of the people on SIBOL have been making wraps/ bed jackets/ capes and they are beautiful.
Well we have my nephews 30th birthday party tomorrow and I have got to make 2 Pavlovas so no doubt I shall be dreaming meringues all night. Soft fluffy ones I hope.
I am really enjoying having a day off from the football. Tennis instead. My life is a lot of balls ay the moment!Try and do a good deed every day.0 -

PSSO No way will I let DH near any kind of paint..........his previous history is battleship grey and off course BATTLESHIPS for HM RN............... he is dreadful at it - and don't let him near wallpaper any time at all! Didn't do any

Beautiful cakes, Im sure her dream fund will soon build up - chip off the old block then!
I made a mistake, I bought a pack of puff pastry (ys 30p )and cooked it all with a bit of jam or cheese in. So far I have eaten one of eachbut at least theres no cream on the jammy ones. Have had a lot of excercise last 2 days so not to bad.
Sadly Oh cottoned on early that if I can paint pictures I can paint walls and I make less mess than a man anyway. When he had his own business renovating houses I used to go in at the end and decorate top to bottom -those were the days when I was young and full of energy .....distant memory now....although have had a return to it to some extent as the pharmacist had to change the brand of beta blockers I have to prevent crippling migraines. I was worried as once before did the same and i was very ill. However 3 weeks in and I have a vast improvment in energy and sleeping mostly better also the pain of my arthur-itis is less frequent. I tried a long walk yesterday for the first time in 4 years and I didnt have to stop because of the pain at all :jClearing the junk to travel light

Hi everyone; I'm up early this morning - again!
Chalky - I'm also the same with car-washing - I tell DH he is SOOOOO much better than me at it (which he is)! You and I must be virtual sisters!
Mrs Moneypenny - do you crochet? Here's a link to a wheelchair wrap pattern - it is so easy and the wrap sits on the shoulders without falling off. I've made some for my Mum and she loves them:

Here's a link to a Pinterest page with free knitting patterns for shawls:

This is one of them; I think it's lovely! http://reneeknitstoo.blogspot.fr/2010/09/fo-mara-shawl.html
No woolly stuff for me last night; I could not keep my eyes open and spent the entire evening fast asleep on the sofa. Hope to get some more Innocent Smoothie hats done this evening.
Have any of you seen Buttonaholics on Facebook? They sell some gorgeous buttons; I got a bit carried away and ordered £21 worth - sounds a lot but it's a lot of buttons! I'll let you know what I think when they arrive. I really must have a go with Instagram so that I can post photos straight from my Ipad - I've downloaded the app (oh, don't I sound trendy?) but have no idea how it all works!
Anyway, off to get the day started. We are getting hair cuts this afternoon but a lovely friend who works from home does it for us, so it means a good chat and a cuppa; so much better than going to a commercial salon!
Have a great day; it's raining here but I hope the sun is shining wherever you are.

kathy I always wanted a sister so would be proud to have you as a virtual one! Actually I love the sisterhood here on this little bit of Blogland.
Well just been to get all the stuff for my nephews birthday party. This is my youngest nephew and he means a lot to me as he is the son of my brother that died aged 54. Sadly they are having a BBQ . But it is chucking it down with thunder and lightning. Typical for Glastonbury weekend!
Well I can not believe how much tidying and sitting I have done. I am sure you lovely lot are right . It has been an excellent distraction to awaiting young William's arrival! A week today I am hoping for an early morning cuddle in bed. Excited? NOT ME!!
I used to make cards for a website so there was a stack of bits and pieces that I will never use now. So some has gone into the charity and most into the recycling bin. I think we are all the same and every little scrap of card had been saved. I used to use a Kricutz bu they were so tough on the wrists I sold it on eBay . Well it has made so much extra room and now I know where everything is.
Right .. Must make the pavalova a or Eton Mess !!!Try and do a good deed every day.0 -

Chalky - I would love to have you as a virtual sister! Hope the party went well. Sounds like you have been having a constructive tidy up! My sister's (the nice one!) children and grandchildren are all at Glastonbury this weekend, probably covered in mud by now!
Mrs Moneypenny - hope you find something suitable from the patterns.
Well, we've both had hair cuts and now DH looks less like a hippy, thank goodness. His hair was getting so long, and I've never liked long hair on men, not even when it was trendy all those years ago. His brother has hair halfway down his back, which he wears in a trendy plait; I'm so glad DH does not intend to go for the same look! I've just had a couple of inches off mine. It's poured with rain all afternoon but it was lovely catching up with our hairdresser friend and her menagerie of pets.
Anyway, DH has got caught up in the Brazil/Chile game which looks as if it's heading for penalties; I think I'll go for a shower!
Have a great evening.

Anne xx0 -
Evening all, hope you are all well.
Chalky, I LOVE pavlova. Strawberries or raspberries or banoffee are my favourites. Just really love meringue with creaminess and fruitiness in general.
Exercise classes are on Wed and Fri mornings, so do my laps round the block other days. Been naughty today though as felt tired, so have not been out at all.
Ginny, good to hear you managed a nice walk without pain. Hope the meds help you.
I have to go back to the gp as rehab staff think I need another one.
Kathy, I tried looking for Buttonaholics on FB but it came up no matches available. Maybe just as well as I really don't need any more buttons just now.
Woolly wise, I've finished another bodywarmer and have realised I won't have enough turquoise wool for my latest blanket ! Dash it.
DS is taking little J fishing again on Monday so DD will maybe nip me up to the wool shop for some more. What a chore......
Off to cast on the next bodywarmer I think, trying to use up the whole ball before starting a new one.
