    Good evening one and all
Lots and lots of the gentlest thoughts coming to you all. And I am giving myself a dose too.of course I am getting so excited but quietly, inside as I think it is too much pressure on everybody to expect it all to be wonderful from the first minute.... Overnight flights etc and a 4 hour drive down here from Heathrow. So I am just quietly making sure everything is ready for them hopefully to feel at home straight away. And I will keep my zippidy do Dah heart still for a few days!!!

Well another glorious day here and we took DSIL and DBIL to Exeter for the first time. It is her birthday on the 4th so we treated her to lunch at Bills. A quirky restaurant that we like. Tissue hanging on hooks and baskets filled with raffia have got to be good... Food is too.

pippa happy anniversary. I hope you have both had the happiest of days.

Ginny.your latest blog post is lovely. Your gardening is amazing. I hope you napped well.I don't even know what a G thing is!

pssotalking of napping . I hope your energy levels have picked up and you are feeling brighter.

Kathyare you totally better . I hope so.

I have just made a batch of Twinks hobnobs as our lovely neighbours are lending us a pushchair for William,

jeanyou still sound as busy as ever.

Right gotta get on. Shame Murray is out.

Morning all,( just). Well it was when I started typing this.:p

Firstly, belated anniversary wishes Pippa and Mr Pippa.

Mrs mp, glad the appt went smoothly yesterday.

Ginnyknit, I'm all in favour of grandma naps. Had peep at your blog - love the idea of vertical garden with milk bottles. Might try that next year on the fence at the side of my living room window. There are hanging baskets further up but just bare fence nearer the house. Borrrrrriiiiinng.
48 lavender plants for a fiver postage !! How did you manage that ? Jealous here.

Well, have given the dreaded weeds a nice shower this morning. Sun is shining and although there is a slight breeze, the weedy part is very sheltered so gave them a blast of the 24 hour killer stuff -takes more than 24 but hey ho it does work in a few days. Had it in the shed so didn't need to do the salt and vinegar mix this time.

Finished off another bodywarmer last night. They are becoming a bit of an obsession, trying out different colours and sizes.

The 'steamed' fingers have recovered now so can get back to the crochet blanket again in between them. No rest for the wicked,eh ?:rotfl:

Have just rescued a couple of milk containers from the recycling box and planted pansies in them. Have attached them to the fence with garden twine for the moment. Would cable ties be better maybe ?

Off for a cuppa in the sunshine and do a few more rows of current b/warmer.

Hello everyone. Sunshine here and lots of it . So I just hope it stays.

pssolovely to think of you out in your garden but steady does it.

Well DOH has left to spend the night with a friend of ours as he has to be at Heathrow to pick the family up at 7.30, they should be back here by lunch time.

I am doing all sorts of bits and pieces to keep calm. Plus baking of course. It seems almost unbelievable they are on their way. It's over six months since we have seen them so it will be lovely.

I have tried , and succeeded in not going over the top with getting things IYKWIM. Because you can not post anything even when he had his bad leg it would be easy to go mad. But I know my son and daughter in law would hate that. I would have done when mine were little and you did not want your little ones spoilt.

So. I have got his daddy's desk out of the garage and filled the drawer with stickers, pencils etc.
I have saved a big cardboard box for the garden to be a whatever!!!
I have bought a mini watering can so he can help with the watering .
And of course little treats all over the place that they won't notice!!!!!!

His monster quilt is on the bed and I have knitted a little sleeping bag for his favourite hedgehog.

It is so quiet here just now I am relishing it as I think it is going to be all go for the next few weeks.

So, can I send special love to each and every dear friend and sister here and please excuse me whilst I go acuddling and reading stories etc.

    Xxxxx

Have a wonderful time, I'm sure they will understand that you need to spoil him a bit when they get there.
