Pippa, yes the original Angel Claire was one of Mayflower`s patterns but there was someone else who sized it up a little bit so that it was suitable for larger preemies. It was posted in one of the chat threads about the design, long before Marianna did her version. Blowed if I can find it though.

Have it printed off but it`s looking a wee bit worse for wear, it`s been used so often and some little artist has drawn on it with a blue crayon, very nice.;)

Marianna did the bigger sized patterns here is a link to the rav one
    http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/girls-all-in-one-sleeveless-top
    or direct to the blog

You are right Pippa they were the lovely Mayflowers original pattern - but Marianna has now got about 4 or 5 different sizes up to girls.......when I get some time I will have a go at the bigger ones no doubt - Glad to see you have made a start on the knitting - looking forward to seeing it done (after its learned to fly no doubt).
Mioliere - new stove top - wow.....that will make a huge difference. Like you I am not much of a fan on the the electric stoves - had them in one or two houses way back and I think the worst one was a huge Jackson cooker two ovens, white ceramic top great big plate warmer all automatic stuff - spit roast - don't think we ever used the half of it. Our gas bottle used to live outside but not any more I gave away a kitchen cupboard to have it in doors - far easier.
CHALKY - sounds like you are having great fun with the new toy - (sewing machine). Not sure about me needing to do the twine from ripped up sheets tho' I had enough faffing around when I did the ripped up sheets crochet baskets - so I am not in a great hurry to try the twine.

My ankle is so very nearly all better (well it's probably all better ) BUT I have some digging to do so am telling myself to hold off for another week.

Sis in law is due with her beau shortly and they are staying right through to September - how lucky are we ??? VERY we will have to have THREE birthdays (lots of cake) (lots of drink) tons of laughs and some proper good fun and games (I get to win at the boulles). I have stitched up a load of bunting as DH has built them a deck just outside their back door as a huge surprise - it kept him out of my way for at least a fortnight, so will go and put up the flags, lay out the table and chairs and surprise them with a light luncheon for when they arrive......I will also get and cut their grass providing the mower will start or no one will be able to see anything - DR Livingstone I presume is what it looks like right now!

    UPDATE

2 hedgies - just wait to you see them!

I use Mayflowers with DK and size 8"s which makes the preemie one bigger although I prefer the 4ply and 11's needles (YEAH LIKE YOU LOT WILL BELIEVE THAT ONE)!
Think the next size up one that Elaine is mentioning might have been PERRY (Helen) she put one up for the patterns but I am blowed if I can remember what she called it and as I still can't stay
logged into LH I can't do a search in there........will go look at my copy of patterns I transferred into the collection and see if I can find it.

was this it? Amazing what one cup of tea can do for the single brain cell.......NEW YEAR BODY WARMER pattern on first link photo on second - oh and Kate re-wrote it on page two of the topic making it easier to follow??

No it's not the new year one Jean. I've never done that one.

I think it was definitely on a thread about Mayflower's AC pattern. You know the kind of one.....
"I've just finished an angel claire .....etc. then a few replies to that and then someone else came on and said she had sized the pattern up and posted the actual details. I copied it into a word doc titled small sleeveless top - larger Angel Claire bodywarmer, so don't even have the poster's name to do a search.

Not really important, just thought I'd like to print another copy off but it was quite a while ago.

Thank you all for solving a problem for me. I have been looking for a pattern just like the Marianna one for 3 years after seeing a photo on an Australian blog. I even wrote to the blogger to see if I could buy a copy off her but though she got back to me I never got a pattern. Now I have a new project for tomorrow :T

  • ELAINE can you scan me in your copy? O take a photo off it?? I can then do a complete dougald search using the wording on the copy........can't search LH individually although I have had a squint through various Angel Claire threads including the spring challenge one in memory of Angie -
GINNYKNIT you should have asked us you know we all love to help find stuff for each other in order to reduce your stash so you can run out and buy some more (LOL).

if i could have any spare good luck vibes for my mil this afternoon id appreciate them, im going with her for a body scan, last week i supported her while she had a biopsy after she mentioned something to the gp. im hoping and praying against i fear all odds that she may have left telling the gp too late. so far weve been told this week body scan next week chest xray and lung capacity tests followed by another chat with the consultant and an op within the next 3 weeks.
