morning all
chalky, enjoy time with family, and so pleased William is on the mend and enjoying the pool
Kathy, hope you have a fab trip back to see family and your fav wool shop
Elaine, good to see u making a good recovery, continue to take it easy, and take it one day at a time
lots of baking and family time going on, I'm quite envious, hardly see my sons nowadays, tho I have persuaded Daniel to visit for a couple hours this afternoon, feel like I have to bribe them, or they would rather spend time with their friends.
had a fab knitting and crochet holiday, was great being in company, and feel low being back on my own again in flat.
opn positive side, my crochet is improving, I can now read a pattern, and as well as making squares and coasters, I've now made a bag, that folds into its own pocket, and a tissue box cover. am thinking of a crochet garment as my next crochet project. also been busy knitting lots baby cardigans in the pattered yarn
hugs to all

F1 thank you for asking about OH's appointment, I thought I had told you all the news but I am a bad Ginny and hadnt  His cancer reading is now very low - dont know why it just miraculously happens - so worry down to very low level for now. He will be monitored regularly due to his testosterone medication feeding cancer. His other health problems are just the same and he goes in hospital next Monday for an injection in his spine to try and help some of the pain from a back problem. This wont help the nerve damage pain but will be one less thing to hurt and he will hopefully be a little more comfortable. His bladder specialist, who is wonderful , is putting his case in front of a board of specialists soon to try and get him more help, guess he is hoping one of them knows something new that may make life more bearable for him.
Hugs and sunshine to all xxxClearing the junk to travel light

Hellooo :hello:
Back from holiday and feeling very lazy, spoils you being waited on ...
We have been to Moms and sorted a few things out for her and got the shopping list for tomorrow... she was waiting for her goody bag with some complimentary bits from the ship, soap, shampoo, chocolates, little sweets, a pen and the thing she was most pleased with was the shower cap because hers had a hole in it :rotfl:...easily pleased my Mom... we did buy her a little present as well though, but she always asks us to bring her some ship bits back,
We ate so much on the ship it was just wonderful, the Fjords are amazing, immense and very beautiful. We saw so much and loved every minute.
We will definitely try and pick up a last minute cabin sell off again such a bargain and we had a wonderful time,
Guess what I found in the one place we stopped??? a shop with a whole wall of wool :j well I was in heaven the yarn is so lovely over there and the colours are gorgeous. Just couldn't resist taking a couple of pics will post on here when I have downloaded them.
I left 3 Little yellow Ducks in strategic places in Norway to be found and taken home for a cuddle, 1- in a huge bronze top hat in a park in Stavangar...1- on a stone bench outside a hotel in Eidfjord (think thats the name) and the last one on the piano on the ship when we docked in Southampton, OH did that one I never even saw him do it, he took it out of my bag and stuffed it up his jumper he said...
chalky - I bet the little chap is enjoying his swimming it will help the healing process x hope all went well today how lovely to have DD2 and her BF home for a few days enjoy
psso - I hope you are continuing to improve...and taking it easy
kathy - it must be about the coming home to blighty time, is the first stop your favourite wool shop
I haven't read through yet but I will later

Sharon sounds like it was the perfect holiday and further progress with your crochet too.......... its' always a down when I return from hols too - I think we all miss the excitement and buzz while away.
PIPPAs glad you enjoyed your time on the cruise - the Fiords are stunning - I have a couple of brilliant photies that DH took then had enlarged to remind us of our wonderful trip. I did tell you they sold yarn there too - its lovely stuff.
Mrs Moneypenny hope your DS1 is soon on the mend having seen the quack.
Well the painting is going extremely slowly for my liking - lots of stops and starts which I really don't like at all...... tomorrow I am locking the doors and just going for it - only the 4 walls to do and I will send DH off on some fools mission out of the way and just get stuck in. I really have to get the stuff all back in there and out of the sweatshop - I have a list as long as your arm of jobs for sewing machines and I really must get stuck into it.
Continued love, cuddles and healing vibes to you all...........

Morning all
wet and bloomin cold here today
jean - yes I remember you said about the wool and you were right it is gorgeous, when we stopped in one place there were a couple of little craft tables and 2 ladies were knitting up a storm on some mittens all in grey and white star shaped patterns think it's called Intarsia done on 4 needles they were chattering away and not really looking at what they were doing so clever , now you know what I am going to say I want to have a go I keep thinking about it.... but done nothing about it yet
f1 - ahhh lovely nothing so relaxing as time spent in the garden, hard work though but the way I look at it, it's good exerise all that bending and stretching, and it uses up the calories, thats my theory anyway....;)
ginny - awww your little DGS sounds like he is doing well, hope all goes well with OH's appointment on Monday
mrs- m - ouch tonsilitis is awful like swallowing razor blades, sleep is the best thing hope the pills kick in soon
chalky - hope the weather was kind to you over the weekend.Just picked up the MMS awww he is so cute,
shaz - so pleased you enjoyed your knitting/crochet holiday wouldn't mind one of those myself...it sounds just my cup of tea
I finished a shawl off last night for MrsTwins almost got it done before we went away but not quite.
one of the members on the SIBOL forum on Rav made a gorgeous shawl all in small knitted mitred squares it looks so good I just have to have a go I spent an hour earlier sorting some random yarn out...don't seem to have much so I just may have to buy some
love to all and enjoy your day whatever you decide to do

PIPPA it's not the 4 dpns that put me off its paying enough attention to keep the pattern right - but you go for it.....I can even find you a pattern if you want. It has just reminded me that I bought the "Samband of Iceland" book and the virgin wool to knit a jumper/cardigan -anything......... it's all in a bag somewhere! I know the pattern book is in my files as I came across it a couple of weeks ago when I was searching for the baby shawl stuff. - ah perhaps I should search out the yarn and just get on with it.
Mrs Moneypenny - I do hope that your DS1 is on the road to some sort of recovery - the penicillin should kick in any time soon.
Well all the painting is done - I now am left with the clear up and re decorate the room - oh and get the curtains made when I clear the sweatshop - so easy job for tomorrow which is a public holiday here (Ascension), so there won't be much else to keep me occupied.
Love, hugs and get well wishes to you all........................
back when I have cleaned the brushes. yuk - I used to throw them away in the UK but the brushes here are awful soft and horrid so I now guard the few I have (ex UK) with my life. The Hooligan Wooligan – age 9¾
