Thank you for your good wishes.

Well, the packing is in full swing and, after two days and two nights of non-stop torrential rain here, I can't wait to get on that boat! I know the weather is not so good in the UK but I gather it's better than it has been here, and at least I'll be with friends and family, having released a duck or two on the way. I've called mine Desiree, Delilah, and Darcy.

I hope you all have a good couple of weeks while I am away. I am taking my PC, so I will drop in when I can.

Elaine, I hope that your recovery is speedy.

Jean, thanks for doing the spready for me.

Chalky - I hope your South African visitor likes your corner of the world, and I hope that William continues to make good progress.

    Byeeeeee!

Hello you lovely, lovely lot. I have been a bit quiet because I was waiting for good news of William.... Again!

When the cast came off he had the most terrible rash. The mixture of fibreglass, heat and urine had lest him with an almost burn like rash. It was cracking and bleeding. The antibiotics started to clear it up but resulted in him having chronic diahorrea . Poor little soul. He has been through too much and his dear mummy and daddy too. The consultant wanted him to swim straight away but he could not because of the rash and tummy. BUT today on their 5th wedding anniversary they sent me a picture of him in the pool.
As yet he is not confident enough to put any weight on his leg but I, after having another couple of horrible days, am beginning to feel that we are getting out of the woods. I pray so

Well, on a much happier note our youngest daughter is coming home this evening from Barcelona bringing her South African boyfriend for the first time. So I have done a mega shop, mega cook in ( Ikea biscuits) and I am sure it is going to be wonderful. I hope the sun shines!

So please forgive my absence over the next week or so but know I send love to each and every one of you xxxx
Try and do a good deed every day.

Have a wonderful time with the family Chalky - remember to be kind to you as well tho', sneak in some crafting when you get a minute - it will ground you for all the fun. So pleased to hear of Williams progress poor wee mite has really had to go through the mill, hope the swimming will begin shortly .

Well by the time I did the coffee and walnut sponge, the scones and the carrot cake I decided I really didn't want to do any painting, so I am going to make an effort to get in and do it today, then I can get back to the craftyness..

Love and cuddles to you all

Chalky your little man must love being in the pool, will make him feel so much better, bless him. Am so happy he is doing better it must be a huge weight off you all.

Dgs has learned to say No! which is a vast improvement on his auty way of saying it 'bye bye going to toilet' So good he can communicate better and he is cute and cheeky all at once now.

Have just finished knitting up a big ball of aran into a corner to corner blanket then crochetted round it a good few times. Going to add tassels to the corners then its done. Have just started a shawl with an odd ball of white cotton and 2 cones of 4ply lemon and peach (doubled) and its lovely zingy colours. Its cost about £2.20 altogether so a bargain to boot.

Ginny what a wonderful word for your DGS to have begun to use - I also love the sound of the citrus blanket.

We have had a bit of a shift round in our bedroom - just fancied a shift around so if I don't sleep any better it will all be going back again tomorrow!
