that's the story behind the mittens
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/norwegian-selbu-mittens
that's one of the free patterns available............. there are pages and pages on an google image search. They are similar to what I would call Fair Isle patterns.
I posted pics direct from my flickr last week and I am certain I made notes - I just have to find them then I can let you know how it works.
Off to hang the curtains, managed to get them sewn this morning then all I need to do is find a couple of pictures for the walls, re-find the mirror and get that up and that's me done. I can then get stuck into some 'proper craftyness'
love, cuddles and good wishes to you all.

needlecase in use! by Jeangenie21, on Flickr
trial for notes
First load up your pictures to your flickr account - album of choice (almost certain that other photo sharing works pretty much the same)
In your Flickr Albums click on the photo you wish to use.....
when it loads on its own click on that photo again - this brings up a screen on the right hand side with all the picture details
on the line where there is a STAR - CLOUD (comment) - SQUARE with an arrow out of the RH side (share this photo)- THREE LITTLE DOTS (more actions)
click on the SQUARE - share this photo
further dialogue box appears - choose BBCODE
directly under that you can then choose the size of the picture ....I use Medium 500 x 375 so click which ever you want - try them all you never know!
the URL will pop up in the box under the size so make sure you copy the whole of the URL
then back into MSE message and paste the copied link into the message box.......type up your message can either be first or after you have done the picture.
If you get stuck - don't worry just try againThe Hooligan Wooligan – age 9¾

Hi ladies
I hope you don't mind I have read through lots of your posts (sorry I didn't manage to read them all) and seen what lovely things you make for both yourselves and charity.
So, I was wondering if you could help me. My local library is collecting baby hats both full term and premature and I thought it would be a much better way to spend my evenings than surfing the net.
Many thanks
Hi
It has been a while since l last posted but just wanted to update you all on how the hats are coming along. I have knitted about 30 hats and 3 blankets (did surf the net a little :rotfl: and then my Dad passed away so lost my way a little). I would post a picture but have no idea how to do it.
Keep knitting.Stash Busting Challenge 2016 6/520 -

Hi all - creeping in again, hope you'll have me back!!
On something of a whim (I guess it might be called impulse), we decided that as the lovely income tax people finally decided to give us the refund we were due, we would buy something useful!
So, last weekend, we trekked over the border (passports in hand) to Blackburn, and viewed the most lovely 4 berth touring caravan that was within budget, that could be towed by Florence (our Citroen Picasso) and Arabella (our C5). Absolutely stunning inside, no damp, perfectly clean and tidy - a bit pink, but nothing a bit of blue and purple accessorising won't calm down - s we hitched her up and she is now on the drive.
Folding camper now up for sale on ebay.......
First trip out planned for Tour de France weekend, would be daft to miss it since it's practically on our doorstep! First big holiday is down to Axminster way at the beginning of August for a couple of weeks; remind me, is anyone down that way!?! Might be able to arrange a meetup which would be lovely!
So, blues and purples for the inside - I feel some crochet throws/knitted blankets and bunting coming on!!!
Dawn x:hello:0
