chel,
Did you speak to Citizens Advice? You keep saying you are confused and this is coming across in what you write here too, so you must get someone to look into it that can look at the situation, also they can negotiate on your daughter's behalf. Re your MP, how quickly are they going to act on this? Have they had all the information from you? It's important someone who can advise has all the paperwork etc.Torgwen..........

no offence but you seem very confused, so you have to understand why others are confused !!!0 -
to be honest my citizens advise have said that they have a budget and they are unsure whether they could take this case on. I spoke about this with the mp. The mp telephoned them today and this evening the dwp phoned this evening, it was after 5.30. When the dwp sent a letter they requested information before they made thier desicion and it didnt state they needed it from a bank, she said it should have, i red the letter to her stating that it didnt. and it was some questions they wanted answering. They have seemed to act today after the mp spoke with them. There is a paper that is regulation 34 from the comminsioners some years back about her, this is something to do with mental health. This paper has raised concern and the women today said that this document wasnt available to them when they made thier desicion. I dont think that they would have telephoned if the mp haadnt contacted them. She said that the desicion would be looked at again tomorrow. I feel that theyve made mistakes with the letter asking them to look at the desicion again from us gone missing. I did confirm that the letter sent within the month time limit was aknowleged by themselves. I said i didnt think it was right for us to write again for them to look at the desicion again. She said that if we did that we could ask for an apeal at the same time and this would save waiting. She did say that she would contact the office that reveived our original letter and ask them why it wasnt forwarded on. i didnt think they would give an important descion on the telephone which she said i would have an answer tomorrow0

yes the mp told me that the c a b in some areas are not so good as others and many people are turning to mps for help. Does anyone know where i can find out more information on regulations 34, i probably wont understand it fully as it is in thier jargon.0

Google "regulation 34 income support" (without the quotes). The first entries are amendments and I can't find the original regulation. I don't have time to look any further tonight but I will see if I can sift through and find it tomorrow for you if you haven't had any luck yourself.0 -
thanks im grateful for any help0

I'm still confused....I don't know what the OP wants her MP to do. She says that this money has been in an account with her daughter's name on it. Therefore, AFAIK it is classed as the daughter's money and there is nothing anyone can do about it. Or is she querying the amount? Or trying to say that it is NOT her daughter's money?
I wish I could offer some words of help but I don't understand anything.
I hope the final outcome is advantageous.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0
