My LO is Henry, which isn't very common.

I also like Isaac and Oscar.

Out of your list I like Dillon (or Dylan) best.

My LO is Dylan as we wanted a normal sounding name that wasnt very common.
Samuel is very common here at the minute as that was the one I had wanted but several people I know used it. We also liked Morris and Andrew - old fashioned but very nice names :D

My nephew has 2 friends (brothers) called Tiger and Fox.

All you folks wanting something 'original & unusual' bear in mind that the poor sod's going to have to live with that name, and children can be cruel :)

To be fair I don't know any John's or any other Henry's of my son's age. I do know a Layton, a Jude and two Dylan's! I also know three Reuben's his age, so sometimes it's surprising which names are popular at any one time.

I always said I didn't want a common name or one that was a family name but unfortunately OH has a strange surname and once I thought of Jack it was the only name that I could think of after that.

His middle name is Dylan - I like it! :D

God help me when we have another! I like Benjamin, Oliver or Charlie - not very unsual!!
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

There are three good tests to try out a new baby name -

    1. You lose your little moppet in Tesco, how confident do you feel running up and down the aisles calling "Layton/ Sonnie/ Jessy/ Clayton/Bede/Jude/Dillon/Westley".

    2. Your son/daughter has their full name name called out over a tannoy system. Does anyone snigger and turn to look at the unfortunate child with the daft name? (Layton Clayton, Sonnie Day etc)

    3. Spoken out loud or written down which springs to mind - President of the USA or Las Vegas stripper?

And Jessy is a girl's name - Jesse is the spelling for boys!

Rude Jude or Jude the Prude? :o
"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.

I'm also a fan of Isaac:D If my little Pumpkin is a boy then that'll be his name...assuming he suits it of course:o, I'm now looking for other options in case it's just not right IYSWIM so will be watching this thread with interest:D:D

ETA: love the name Henry too but with our surname beginning with a 'H' it'd just be too cruel:o Shame coz I've always liked Harriet for a girl too:(:)
