Oh dear Pennywisepoundstupid it sounds as though you've had a rough couple of days. My mum is generally ok I think she thinks that I should spend my entire day cleaning the house as thats what she likes to do and never have any time to myself but apart from that alls well.
We went to see Arthurs adventures and whilst it wasn't a favourite it gave me a couple of hours peace. At least you can recover from your Mums visit now and maybe enjoy a glass of wine this evening?
Enjoy the rest of your weekend xx0 -
Thanks choogirl, don't know about a glass, think i need a whole bottle to recover:rotfl:.0

The women is a total headcase, i've spent the last 2 days being critized about every tiny thing from my clothes to what we eat, the decor in the house, childrens behaviour, you name it she has picked at it:mad:.
Breathe she has gone and do not need to speak to her now for a while, just send the occasional email with a hi how are you here are some pics of the kids:).
Went to the cinema yesterday with mother and DS paid with nectar points:Dso free, watched arthurs great adventure or something along those lines, best part was i got to sit quietly for 2 hour and [STRIKE]cruella[/STRIKE] mother couldn't moan, whinge or pick at me:D.
DD had Pony club yesterday so that cost me £50, another thing i got moaned at as apparently its far to dangerous and she should be doing ballet as its far more ladylike, daughters reaction was yeah right i don't think so;), good girl training her well, then got moaned at about that childs manners.
Not made any extra pennies last few days, roll on monday as its payday:j.
i would say we must be sisters cause i know my mum thinks the same ... only for her it's the second i got married and even before i had children i shoudve stopped working .... but you cant be cause two of my three sisters funnily enough listened to her ... and havnt worked since they fell pregnant and are in thousands of debt but dont care cause they can go bankrupt just like mummy did ... and the one that hasnt done that yet has thankfully got her !!!!!! together and travelling the world and working her way to do so0 -
that posted that message before i had finished ... what i was going to say was ... she will go away (eventually) and let you get on with the wonderful job that you are doing ... good luck with it all0

Enjoy :beer:0 -
Oh man pennywise, hope you had a large glass of wine after your mothers visit . You certainly deserve it.
Why do they feel the need to pick at everything? At least you know its her and your not taking offence and listening to her.
I bet you are completely drained now! Chill day for you is in order me thinks x xMummytogirls x0 -
What a biatch... perhaps she belongs to the same secret society of perfect women as my MIL.
Surely the best people to tell you that you've got things right are your children. If you're happy and they're happy then you can't be that wrong. Besides which being a skint bored stay at home mum is bound to be infinately more stressful.
I know far more ballet dancers with permanent injuries than I do horse riders. If anything ballet is a far more dangerous hobby to have. At least on horse back you wear a hat and body protector, theres not much to protect a ballet dancer from a torn hamstring or deformed feet from being en pointe in badly fitting shoes.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Thanks guys, the women is quite simply a headcase.0
