  • :)I love baking, DD is getting birthday cake requests from her friends.

PWD i'm also using my tumble dryer everyday, its not too bad at weekend as i have time to put stuff on radiators, but during the week when i'm at work all day its just easier to stick the clothes in the tumble.

No change on the money front i'm still skint.

Work tomorrow and then i break up for a week as its half term:D.
  • LAst Day at work today and then we break up for half term, lovely peaceful week off i hear you say, noooooooooo some how i seem to have other peoples children over various days, whilst this keeps my two kids amused it also means my house will be turned upside dwn and decorating the kitchen will not get done:mad:, why do i agree to these things.
  • Hi Pennywise, happy last day of term to you!!

Oohhh I love hm cake too, we made DD a pumpkin one for one of her themed parties we did! Everybody commented on how fab it was!

You are a saint having other people kids in the holidays :A. Just think of the whinging you might have to listen to if they had no one to play with!! x

  • Morning,

Weekend was a quiet one, we spent all weekend around home, did lots of housework and baking, watched dvds with kids and they played out the front on there scooters/bikes with there friends, we live in a quiet cul de sac so its safe for them and we all watch out/feed each others children:).

Have made £20 on ebay, not huge amount but more than i was expecting so happy.

Today have an Tesco order coming, spent £50 bought enough to see us through this week with it being half term, also booked an all day slot again so delivery was only £2.50, DH is at home today so he is off doing jobs today taking kids to library and going to the post office for me, its great having a goffer:rotfl:.

    Hi PWPS

Its great isn't it when the kids can go out and play on their own, it gives us Mums some much deserved, quiet time until one of them comes in whining or dirty! My 2 spend hours outside when its warmer and like you we live in an area where everyone can keep an eye on the kids that are playing out.

    Have a great week xx
  • Just had a catch up :) Hope you enjoy the holidays. We live at the end o a cul-de-sac aswell so its nice they can play out o there scooters but not old enough yet to go on there own. We dont have any other kiddies in our street (well there is a baby just been born and another pregnant lady) So they dont have friends to play with which would have been nice for them....Also a part at the end of our road did use to be a park but the council (or who ever) took it out so now its just a open space :( Would have been so handy i it still was a little park...

Have fun with all the other kiddies round aswell and I hope you get the kitchen done at some point :)

HI PWPS - been a while so catching up on all the diaries! Nice to see you were a wee bit spoiled on Valentines Day - me and OH dont celebrate it at all but I have noticed that he does make that little bit more effort on that day (as opposed to every other day!) so although he doesnt actually mention it he always cooks us a nice meal or something.

That's so nice! We don't live in a cu de, nor is our road quiet. It should be as it is a side street and not a main road but people fly down it and use it as a shortcut a lot of the time so I don't think I could let DS play out the front (he's not old enough atm anyway). It mus be great having such a sense of community, I don't know the names of 1/2 the people in my road.

  • It is really nice, summer time is lovely with all the kids running around, its a plus side of living in a village, downside is everyone trying to find out each others business it drives me nuts.
