Hi PWPS
Sorry you're feeling dis-heartened with it all, I think we all have days like that. It is the small things though that add up to make bigger things. Its a good idea to focus on what small things are been achieved rather than trying to look at the big picture.
I make jellies in pots as well, I also buy a tin of rice pudding and split that into little pots for pack ups and buy the 7p smartprice instant custard which is made with water. The kids love the variety and I love it because its a cheaper option.
Take care xx0 -
Hi choogirl, i often make rice pud in the slow cooker, make a big batch of it and its dead cheap as hubby works on a farm so brings home milk.
Trying to focus on little things has certainly made me feel a bit better, keep thinking that if i do these little bits and it saves me £2ish a day then over a year it will be roughly £730 which is fab.0 -
Afternoon pennywise, hope your feeling a bit brighter today
.
We all have down days but at least you can look at what youve done in that day and feel better knowing your planning has paid off. You should be so proud of how far youve come :T but it does sometimes get on top of you.
I do that with the jelly too, its fab isnt it! Do you children like angel delight cos theres cheap version of that in Morrisons for about 15p.
Hope your ok anyway x xMummytogirls x0 -

Kids not keen on angel delight but i love it:), things gone a bit wrong today was hoping for a low spend day but its not happened £3 for DD gym club, spent £40 in Tesco:eek: only went in to get bottle of wine and nibbles for get together tomorrow night with a friend and came out having spent a fortune on crap, have since come home and eaten a family size bag of crisps:mad:, this is the reason i don't buy crisps. DD has come home with a letter for a school trip so need to send in £20 for that on monday and have just dropped off £15 at brownie leaders house for brownie camp in the spring.
Good news- have lost 2lb at weigh in today.0 -

I am going to pinch your idea of re-using the jelly pots & found a Tanya Ramsay recipe where she adds condensed milk to the jelly, she reckons it delicious, so will give it a go... my 2 dd & 1 ds love anything sweet.05/03/14 £15,980 0n 2 CCs
