Good morning.
Work today so need to make my lunch so thats the first money saving thing today, take something out of freezer for tea but i'm feeling like egg and chips which isn't good for waist line, must pay barc card at some point today.
Have decided to use extra CB payment to pay for a few days away in April, kids want to go to Legoland and i would like to visit Windsor castle whilst down that way, so will be getting up early on thursday to try and book Travelodge £10 rooms, fingers crossed.
Whilst rooting through freezer yesterday i noticed we have loads of odds and ends that need using up, so this months challenge is to eat everything out of freezers, could get quite entertaining as the weeks go on, i also can't remember the last time the chest freezer was cleaned out:o, hope i might be able to keep food budget low as well by doing this.
Right better go get organised and ready for work.0 -
£10 Tesco voucher ordered from a survey site:).0

Morning, yesterday turned out to be a nsd:D, today will be a spend day as need to pay for DS football club.
Pasta bake for tea as its quick, filling and easy;).
Must make some banana cake tonight as we have a few black bananas in the fruit bowl.
Right off to work have a good day everyone.0 -
Well 2 days into being back at work and the b!tch!ing and sniping has started, try to keep myself out of it but it just gets so depressing, personally think if your not happy in teaching then get out of it, cos the negativity is only passed onto the children, anyway got that off my chest.
Nipped into Tescos after work for a much needed bottle of wine and ended up spending £43:mad:, really need to stay out of the supermarket when feeling down, at least we have plenty in for the next couple of weeks.
No goodies/freebies in the post:(, hopefully new foundation will arrive soon.
Banana cake hasn't been made feel like vegging out with a glass of wine and Waterloo road tonight.
Need to be up early in the morning for the Travelodge sale so alarm clock will be set for 5.50am:eek:.0 -
Evening pennywise, sorry to hear youve had a stressful day on day 3 back at school . I really dont understand why people are in these professions sometimes.

Hope you enjoyed your wine, it sounds as though it was needed.
Good luck for the morning xx0 -

Well didn't manage to bag any £10 rooms:(, but have booked 3 nights Windsor for £87, DS wants to go to Legoland and we will go somewhere else whilst down there hopefully Windsor castle, Hubby will have brekkie at the Travelodge as up to 2 kids can eat free at breakfast time with a paying adult, i only ever have a cup of tea and a banana or yoghurt in a morning so i will take bananas with me and have that and a cuppa in the room, think its £7 for brekkie, so works out quite cheap for hubby and the kids, will also take crisps/snacks and bottles of juice with me to take into legoland.
Not much going on today, had a quick tea of poached eggs on toast as hubby is working late and both kids have had hot school dinners today, so a lazy tea it was.
Need to take meter readings and put some washing to dry on radiators, i switched ch on as i was freezing so may as well use the heat rather than putting tumble on as well.0 -
I just caught up with your diary as I haven't had time for ages. I can't get over you mum. Mine is totally the opposite (work wise). She went MAD when I told her I was pregnant with DS (ok I was quite young at 21 but already married with my own house). She told me I was a stupid girl and that I had ruined my life.
She loves DS to pieces, doesn't spend as much time with him as she would like, but she is very busy.
I have been thinking about doing my ACCA but am still not entirely sure, and I want another child before I'm 30 (I always wanted to be a young mum, not in a scav off the state way, and to me 30 is my personal cut off point). I'm 26 this year and it took a year to conceive DS. By that maths (even though it could happen on the first attempt), we are looking at the end of next year at the latest to try again. We have already worked out we should have paid all our debt off (other than the mortgage) by then so will be in a good position to have another.
My mum said that "thinking" about having another is ok as long as we don't actually do it. She also said I should do my ACCA first. My point is once qualified (if I do it) I may not have time for another baby and if I am already on good money I will miss that more on maternity leave. I think maybe I should wait to finish my family before I go the career distance but will have no emotional support from my family. My dad hasn't even seen DS this year.Loan - [STRIKE]£6991.95[/STRIKE]£6180.01; Barclays Res - [STRIKE]£600[/STRIKE] £0 - £22 per week , NWB Grad O/D - [STRIKE]£1185[/STRIKE] £887.86 18.28% SWALEC - [STRIKE]£700[/STRIKE] £0 NPOWER [STRIKE]£220[/STRIKE] £0 Kays - [STRIKE]£591.28[/STRIKE] £0 TOTAL DEBT - [STRIKE]£10,288.23[/STRIKE] £7,000.01 31.96 % Paid off.
