  • Morning - your presents sound fab and a day full of pride and prejudice and relaxing would be heaven - I am sick of the sight of the disney channel and cbeebies and the words - 'it's my turn'. ;)
Feel for you about the in-laws - I have mised out on all that sort of stress, dh's parents passed away when my eldest were very young but we put on home videos of them last week and the little ones were so excited - and we could turn them off when we wanted!:rotfl: Obviously we do miss them really!
My last day of holiday today - back to work for rest tomorrow! :)
Proud to be dealing with my debts,

  • Sounds like you had a good Christmas apart from the in-laws, it was similiar in my house but it was my dad that was whinging and dp went upstairs to watch telly coz dad was moaning about the telly and other things - really puts a damper on things. Then the next day, dad was just the same at my auntys house, moanin that my cousins had the wii on to loud etc, i was like dad ur such a scrooge - chill out, you may actually enjoy urself!
  • Ah ha found your diary, will be catching up tomorrow when DH is at work and i'm trying to 'entertain' the children.

  • Good morning

Welcome PWD, glad you found me:wave:.

Not alot going on at the moment, staying away from the shops and have deleted every email refering to sales, actually don't need anything and also skint and know i would be tempted to put stuff on CC, so best that i don't even look.

Off visiting friends today with kiddies, they have invited us for lunch which will be nice, just hope its not a roast dinner:p.

No change on the money making front, infact its come to a standstill every survey i have done over the past few days i have been screened out of:mad:, maybe lots of people are doing them as they are off work/school hold.

Pay day Friday and its badly needed, need petrol, hope what i have will last as if not will need to use CC and i really don't want to:(, will have to drive very sensible today and i'm not going anywhere tommorrow, so fingers crossed.

Have taken some chicken thighs out of freezer, think i will make a curry out of them and serve with rice and chips, yum yum.
  • :mad:Well i'm so bl**dy angry with myself went out today to visit friends anyway red light was on when i got in car, thought its ok will be able to get there and back ok, on way back got stuck in traffic in town for 20 mins and was running on fumes, so ended up pulling in at a garage and putting £10 of petrol in car and had to put it on BC, so annoyed with myself i should not be in this position at my age where i cant even manage £10 for fuel, i suppose i could of risked it, but was 3 miles from home on a main road with 2 small children, would have mean't walking home in the dark if i had of run out.

2011 is the year i sort myself out, get my ars£ into gear and get rid of this debt, i hate feeling like i am failing my family :(.
  • Awwww pennywise you are not failing your family. You are simply sorting this now to make a better debt free life in a few short years.

You did the sensible thing, it wouldnt have been good to have 2 children walking 3 miles in the dark. £10 is nothing compared to if you have spent £100's in the sales.

Have you thought about how you could earn extra? Im at a bit of a standstill with surveys too this week x x x

  • Agree everything seems to be at a standstill, only summer clothes to ebay so don't want to put them on yet as would be a waste of time and surveys so slow at the moment, can't wait for friday as its payday and can put money into all my little envelopes and send a paymant to BC, xmas decs are coming down on new years day, they are driving me nuts as feel as though i can't tidy up properly because of them. Think its a case of cutting back and using what we have at the minute to save money.

Really need to go through freezer and work out what shopping i need for next week, shouldn't be too much, but i do know i need washing powder, dish wash tabs and stardrops, also toilet roll and toothpaste. No sweet things needed as we have loads of choccies from christmas and plenty of baking stuff.

Off for a bath as i have a banging head and hubby should be home any minute so can take charge, actually both kiddies are in PJ's and are being super good at the minute, DS is watching tv and DD is playing with an art set she recieved for xmas.
  • Hope your feeling a bit better this morning pennywise.

You are doing such a fantastic job, you really are. We all have these moments.
Ive got loads of the kids summer clothes too, but was thinking the same. No point in putting them on til March/April.

  • Dont beat yourself up to much. You couldnt have risked it with the little ones. Like mummy said £10 is nothing compaired to if you had hit the sales :)

I am starting to want rid of xmas bits aswell......dh will not let me till the 4th (before dds bday)
    Have a good day x
