Phew Penny, i've just finished reading through your diary, it's taken me days!! But what a fabulous amount of progress you've made and you've made me realise we really need to focus on food as well and get the shopping bills down.
You do soooo much with your job and your children and the pets, very impressed and drained just reading it all!!
Even looked out the ingredients for flapjack yesterday but not enough golden syrup - don't know if you're going to help me eat less!
Right need to go and see if i need to hit Tescos before they shut at 7pm tonight.
Bleeping broke as we both got paid before Christmas and it's the end of Jan before we get paid again. I agree with your down feeling the other day having to use a cc for fuel but you are making progress and even the fact we're all thinking that way now is such a huge change from the pre DFW days, onwards and upwards, although it may be outwards too if i follow the flapjacks!!
Take care and have a GREAT New Year, i'll be watching!

PWD thankyou so much for reading my diary and for your kind words.
DS is in a strop, usually on my Payday i give the children £10 each pocket money this is to last the month, this is to buy themselves treats with such as comics, those ruddy match attack football cards, DD likes to buy lip glosses and sparkly bits for her hair anyway i find it works out cheaper for me if i give them £10 rather than me paying or having the no argument everytime they want a comic/sparkly hairband, so anyway DS asked me for his pocket money so i said to both of them that i thought that this month i would keep there £10 and if they really really needed something i would give them the money, but as it had just been xmas and they had loads of sweets and new toys, maybe they could save it and put it in their bank acccount, DD was fine about this and even said she had £3 in her room that she would put in the bank as well, but DS has thrown a real wobbler about it, i did ask him what exactly he needed, to which i got no answer, not sure if i should give it to him or make him put it in bank.0 -

Good morning and HAPPY NEW YEAR.
So its 2011 and starting a new year of becoming debt free, today will be a NSD, always a good way to start a new year.
MIL phoned last night to see if we would like to go for lunch today, so off there in a bit, which means pork chops that had been meal planned for today have been put in freezer and will become next Saturdays tea:D, so thats one meal down for next weeks shopping, we will just have soup or scrambled eggs for tea tonight if having a big lunch.
All xmas decs are coming down today:) and then i can spend tommorrow cleaning downstairs:(.0 -
Happy New Year Pennywise!!!!
Sounds like your starting off on the right foot by having a NSD today, well done! Also fab that your going to go an extra day without shopping, either that or you only have to buy 7 meals next week.
Oh no to DS having a fit over the spending money. I personally would put it in the bank, theyve had more than enough with it being Christmas!! Hope hes ok today!!
Have a nice day x xMummytogirls x0 -
