Good day.
Kiddies are much brighter and back to bickering so must be well again.
DS arrived and brought with her enough presents to fill toys r us, kids very excited but wish she wouldn't spend so much on them, suppose she has none of her own yet.
Had friends around today which was nice as hadn't seen them in ages and the kids enjoyed having mates to play and wreck the house with.
Nipped out this afternoon with mil as she was going to an outlet village in the next town to us, really pleased i went as there is a clarks shoe shop, managed to get leather school shoes for both kiddies for the bargain price of £20, they were having a massive clearence sale, i'm so chuffed, also popped into asda got last couple of bits for xmas,, so i'm all done, but i am officially skint until payday.0 -

Good morning hope everyone had a lovely christmas.
Had a wonderful christmas day with kids, kiddies recieved some lovely presents and loved the gifts from us, i was spoilt as hubby bought me an ipod, which was something i have been after for ages, but everytime i had saved enough or had enough amazon vouchers something would crop up and i would end up spending money on something else. Recieved lots of toiletries, so no buying shower gel for me for the rest of the year, DD also recieved some lovely little toiletry sets so she is also sorted for next few months, Kiddies recieved a huge amount of sweets and chocolate:eek:, caught DS trying to sneak upstairs with all of his, told him no way, so found them both out a biscuit tin each, put their names on and these sweets will be rationed out, usually buy sweets for them on a Friday after school, so think i will use these for the next couple of month, i kid you not thats how much they recieved, i also recieved 6 boxes of chocolates, hubby 4 and we also recieved 2 big tins of qual!ty str££t as family presents.
Hubby recieved a £20 asda voucher from my Nan, she thought he could use it for some new clothes, but he has given it to me as he likes jeans from Next as there the only ones that seem to fit him properly and buys his jumper and t shirts from marks and spencers, i know they are more expensive but do tend to last a long time, he is still wearing a chunky jumper he bought in M&S 6 years ago and it washes really well and is still going strong so i understand, anyway he gave me the voucher to put towards shopping, bless him.
Also recieved 2 bottles of wine and bottle of baileys, we have saved the bottle of sparkling wine for New years eve as we never go out as no one to baby sit, i also saved the bottle bags that these gifts came in to use next year;).
Christmas day lunch was amazing hubby cooked and he did a fantastic job, got a bit upset with himself as it wasn't ready until 3, told him it didn't matter when we ate, we should be thankful that he was cooking and that we were fortunate enough to be sitting down to a lovingly prepared meal as some people in the world wouldn't be eating at all that day.
Got a bit upset xmas night as fil complained about what i was watching on tv and moaned all the way through it, so i ended up making myself a cup of tea and sitting in bedroom for a bit, felt it was a bit unfair, in laws had watched what they had wanted during the day even the kids sat in their bedrooms at one point so they could watch a film they wanted and all i wanted to do was watch the royal family xmas special, also felt it was rude, its my tv in my living room, in my hoouse and i pay the bl**dy tv licence and leccy bill so should be allowed to watch what i bl**by well like. Sorry for the moan, not very festive or kind of me but need to get off chest.
Yesterday we went visit family and had a bit of a get together at aunties house, was lovely and ended up bringing a pile of food home with us, smoked salmon, gammon, choc cake, fresh veg that she hadn't used and wouldn't use as they are going down south to visit cousins for a few days and fresh sausages, have so much food in house don't think we will need to go shopping for a few weeks well except for fruit.
Today we are having a lazy day at home, kiddies are playing with toys and only hubby so far has got dressed, to be honest don't think we will bother as we are not going anywhere.
Right ladies and gentlemen, christmas is over back to money saving and clearing the dreaded BC:D.0 -
