  • Morning, just a quick one as its very stressful in the house of PWPS.

DS is ill:(, has a sickness bug and has been up most of the night being sick, he is now asleep on the sofa and has managed two dry crackers 1/2 hour ago, hoping these stay down.

Last night i broke the glass in the front of the woodburning stove:mad:, basically i was being impatient and trying to shove a bit of wood in that wouldn't fit, so now need to get a new piece of glass cut, can't do it today as DS can't go out, so stove is out and house feels cold even though CH is on, makes a real difference having the stove.

Waiting on grocery delivery, should be here this afternoon hopefully, fingers crossed that everything i have ordered arrives as i really don't want to have to battle the supermarket for last minute things.

Need to crack on with mince pies, yule log and sticky toffee pud .

    Roll on boxing day.
  • Sorry i'm being a bit baaa humbug:o.

  • Good morning, up early as i'm supposed to be cleaning the house, dearest sister is popping over today and she makes hyercinth bucket look like a slob, my house looks like a bomb has gone off, i now have 2 poorly children as DD started with bug last night, did explain to sis that the kids were ill, but she's insisted on bringing there presents over:mad:, as much as i love to see her, she has no children and doesn't quite get how stressful this time of year is and throw 2 sick kids into the mix and i'm close to meltdown.

On a brighter note, £10 has been withdrawn from paypal as i recieved payment for some surveys:) and this morning i have withdrawn £25 from another survey site:D, said that it could take up to 30 days to hit bank account, so hopefully will be able to throw that at BC at the end of January.

Had a sort out yesterday of what toiletries we have, trying to work out how much shampoo/shower gel etc i need for next year as i have a few boots points and thought i would stock up on things that are needed, going to wait until after christmas as hopefully we will get some sets as presents, how sad am i getting excited over the fact i might get shower gel for christmas:rotfl:.

Need to nip to Tesco today as a couple of items were missing from order yesterday and have also run out of wrapping paper, seem to have used loads this year.

Hubby has taken this afternoon off work and is going to sort out stove glass and go to butchers to collect christmas meat, actually might send him to Tesco.
  • Morning pennywise, sounding organised as always :D!

Oh no to the poor kids both having the illness, I blooming hate sickness bugs so im keeping the kids away for everyone after today!

Haha to your sister making Hyacinth look like a slob that made me chuckle :rotfl:!! I do love watching keeping up appearances on GOLD btw!!

Yeah get DH to go to Tescos if hes out and about sorting the glass..

    Have a good day x x

  • Hi, Just caught up with your diary. A puppy? Are you crazy? Having said that we got 2 kittens a few months ago and lets just say the Christmas tree has taken a complete battering!!
How are the children? My demon baby has been ill for weeks - she is still in bed and it's 10am :) This is the child who doesn't sleep! When sh is up, she just wants to sit on my lap constantly - a great excuse for doing nothing!
    Hope they feel better soon!
