On a brighter note, have just withdrawn a £3 payment from lightspeed so that should hit my paypal account soon.

Hey Pennywise!
Definitely an awful situation to be in, unfortunately this happened to our family when I was young and my mum, my sister and I were the last to know - I wish that hadn't have been the case. I have no idea what I'd do in your situation even taking this into account. At times I think I'd definitely say something but how to you approach a subject like that!?
Good luck xMe, DH and DD (17 months) clearing our debt for a better future. Today child benfit has hit bank account-£134.80p. As there was already £8.72 in bank account i have paid this off HAlifax card:D, I get paid next wednesday, so out of the child benefit money i need to pay the following:
MBNA -£50 (paying this for hubby as he paid for DS football camp)
school lunches-£11.10
Petrol -£15
afterschool sports- £5.00
Groceries-£50
Total-£131.10:eek:, easy come easy go.
Don't think i will spend that much in asda today, but i'm withdrawing it and anything left over can be paid off halifax card on Wednesday next week when i get paid.
Also need to order school jumpers by the end of this week, but will pay by cheque on friday.
Also had £4 paid into paypal from pinecone for survey i did, this is going towards new dress.0 -
Morning pennywise,
What an awful situation you are in at the mo, knowing what you know. How did you find out? If its common knowledge then im sure your friend will get to find out in time.
Yay to the child benefit hitting your account, but boo to it all being spent in your head!! Hopefully you will be able to keep some back to pay extra off the Halifax card.
Do you have to be invited to Pinecone to do their surveys? Im currently registered with valued opinions, yougov, pureprofile and onepoll. Any vouchers etc I get now im going to save towards Christmas I think! A way off I know but I like to be organised!!!!Mummytogirls x0 -

Hi Adam some do use OH for other half-usual if they are not married i think.
Hi Mummy, well 2 seperate people have now mentioned it to DH, so starting to think that it seems to be common knowledge:(.
Been to work and asda today, have put £15 of petrol in car, spent £49.51:jin asda, so in budget for the week, would have been less but bought myself a plain white t shirt for work £1.50 and 6 bottles of Coca cola in glass bottles for £2, coke tastes so much better in glass bottles.
Sports club also paid and forgot to get cash out for lunches, so will nip to the post office later and get some money and will pay MBNA tommorrow.0 -
Mummy i've been with Pinecone for ages, can't remember how i signed, i think they only sign people up a couple of times a year. I'm with the other survey sites you mentioned also maximiles (used to ipoints), crowdology, just the answer, rewarded opinions, toluna, panelbase and IPSOS.0

Thanks for the info Pennywise, ive just joined Toluna and crowdology so we will see how I get on with those for now!!Mummytogirls x0

Hi mummy, well done on joining some more survey sites, toluna always seems to take forever to get enough points for a voucher, but i just tend to plod on, crowdology has quite fun surveys.
Postie brought me a little bottle of dove body lotion:D, also recieved a underjams pyjamas pant and a coupon to use in tesco for a full pack, coupon is worth £5.19, i won't use it as my kids don't need them any more, but if anyone wants it please pm me and i will post it to you.
Nothing new on money front and don't get paid until next wednesday, i want some more money:(, i need to pay off debt:mad:.
Made a yummy pizza last night, not made one in ages and it was so good, fed all 4 of us with hm coleslaw for pence and there was enough for hubby to take to work:D, going to do some baking in a bit, need flap jack and fairy cakes and wil also cook a pan of bolognaise up as well, will make a couple of lasagne 1 to go in freezer and 1 for tea tommorrow.0 -
Thanks for the offer of the coupon but my DD1 is fully potty trained and DD2 is only 1 so were quite a way off needing those yet!!!
Look at you getting all organised making tomorrows tea already :T. I love getting organised!
DH gets paid on the last day of everything month which just happens to be next Weds aswell. I dont like it though much preferred it when it was 28th of every month.
When you have a sec can you give me your recipe for hm coleslaw? I was just thinking on my way into town about picking up that Sainsburys deal where you get 2 pizzas and sides for £5, but if I know how to make the coleslaw, ive got 2 pizzas in the freezer that I could use anyway.Mummytogirls x0
