Tell me about it mummy, i think they come up with a price and double it. The area i live in is quite afluent (apparantly), we bought our house before prices rocketed, so there is quite a few yummy mummys, there Hubbys work away and have well paid jobs, so they can afford to pay the silly prices that the school states and don't bat an eyelid, but for us mear mortals who arn't loaded we have to struggle:(. Have to say i'm the same with shoes and have to buy them from clarks, but its expensive when you have 2 pairs to buy in one go:eek:.

No bills in the post today, but have paid milkman £10 for 2 weeks of milk. Oh and put £10 petrol in the car.

Worked all day today, so thats i bit of overtime to go towards bills, also took snacks and lunch to work with me:).
  • Managed a nsd:D, which i'm really pleased about, no bills in the post, but dd came home with bill for school lunches for £11.10, will have to wait until next week to be paid.

Id code came through the post so now can log into new credit card account.

Other than that a very boring day, work, made flap jack and have put a chicken in the oven for tea.

Does anyone else get really frustrated and just want pay day to come around so that some money can be thrown at some debt or is it just me, feel like i'm doing nothing at the moment, havn't even got anything to ebay at the moment as i had a big clear out last month.

  • Hi Guys and thanks, glad i'm not the only one. Payday is'nt for another 2 weeks, child benefit is due on tuesday, but really need to do a food shop, pay for school lunches and pay for childrens school sweatshirts so that will be it gone:mad:.

Tesco and santander statements came today, Tesco £1247.14 and santander is £785, will pay minimum payment off each and hopefully throw some extra at halifax card, as usually i round the payment up for example Santander payment is £17.66 usually i would round it up to £20 but i won't from now on i will chuck it at halifax to get it paid off quicker.

Also had another NSD :D.Well done on yours yesterday mummy.

Good luck with your journey x

  • Hi D2bDF and thanks for posting.

Nothing exciting happening today, no bills in the post which is a bonus and has been another NSD:D.
Tidied DD room last night and found 2 tops she has outgrown, I have listed them on eBay.
Might be some more Overtime coming up at work in the next couple of weeks, so mentioned to head that i'm happy to come in if she needs me, so hopefully that will be a few more pounds towards halifax card if i get it.
  • Well back from Tesco, £26.59 spent but used £10 giftcard i recieved today, so really only spent £16.59, got some extra bits with having the giftcard, some beer for hubby for tonight when he's watching the footie and some burgers and bits so we can have a BBQ tonight, which i have just lit.

Hubby also rang me whilst i was shopping, I don't normally brag but i'm so happy that i have to tell someone and as my close friend has money worries i don't want to mention it to her, so i will tell all here Hubby has just recieved a £3000 a year pay rise:j:j:j. So very very happy.
