  • Doesn'y sound ungrateful at all think sometimes you end up buying stuff, simply because you think you should and they think they should.

CARP day at work, starting to wonder if i'm cut out to do the job after the day i've had:(.

Feels so cold this evening, i have a vest on polo jumper and cardigan and i'm freezing, wood stove is burning away, feel like a very homely tea of pie and chips:D, might just warm me up, (does anyone else think i'm obsessed with food i do seem to talk about it alot).

Nipped into Tesco and spent £18 on stuff, halloween dvd for kid, big box washing powder, satsumas, biscuits, breakfast cereal, sawdust for guinea pig, i only went in for the sawdust, bad bad bad:mad:. Think this happened cos i was feeling down.
  • Another £10 amazon voucher ordered, takes 4-8 weeks to arrive fingers crossed it comes in 4 weeks.
  • Please, Please, Please keep writing about your food! It makes your diary so warm and cozy - makes me hungry!

Woohoo :j for the Amazon voucher hun - do you feel you get most of your vouchers through toluna or somewhere else?

We all have bad days like that at work hun - chin up - tomorrow is another day :o

Get the pie and chips on!

  • Thanks BR, much happier day it work and only 2 more sleeps until we break up:j.

£6 spent on kids afterschool sports and i nipped into Tesco for carrots and brown paper, spent in the region of £2, can't find reciept, but have got the till spit for free lindt choccie:EasterBunso will claim that tommorrow, would be rude not to.
Managed to withdraw £5 from survey site, so that is supposed to hit account in around 2 weeks time, made £21 on ebay today and need to relist 3 things that didn't sell.

Need to go and post ebay parcel once i have collected children from school, then i'm going to sweep and mop through downstairs, cook a chicken, not sure what i'm doing with it teawise, might be chicken, mash, stuffing and veg.
  • Forgot to mention earlier that i am very pleased with myself, i have a lovely royal blue wool winter coat its fitted and really smart, i bought it a couple of years ago from wallis, got it out last night as was looking a bit grubby, anyway i knew it said dry clean only on the label, but the 2 times it has gone to the dry cleaners, it still seemed to have bits on it not properly clean (hope that makes sense) anyway i decided that the dry cleaners is too expensive when it doesn't even look properly clean when it comes back, so i put it in the washer on a cold wash:eek: and kind of had cold sweats the whole time it was in there, any way took it out and it looked fine, hung it on a hanger over the bath to dry overnight was still slightly damp this morning so hung it in living room near wood burning stove to finish drying, i have just checked it, it is dry and looks like new, hasn't shrunk or anything:D, really pleased and i'm sure it wil be fine as long as i don't do it too often.
  • Morning all, hope your all ok after the spending review.

Got an email yesterday from asda about there toy sale, so thought i would have a look, whilst doing so DD comes along to see what i'm doing and spots a dolls house that was in the sale and said to me " mum, thats the one father christmas is bringing me", i then had a chat with her about the other one on we had seen on amazon, but she was adament that the one on the screen in front was the one she wanted, it is very similar just not as big, has 2 floors and an attic instead of 3 floors and an attic, also showed her the furniture that went in it and explained it was wooden not like the others she had seen, but she insisted that that was what she wanted, so i said well ok i will let father christmas know that you want this one, but you can't change your mind as he is getting all the toys ready now and will be cross if you mess him around.

So once kiddies where in bed last night i ordered the dolls house and furniture/dolls and with delivery came to £53 (original dolls house was £75 without furniture), which has come out of the tax money that i have set aside for christmas.
So that leaves £197 in christmas fund, i am going to add this months overtime to it when i get paid. As for the Amazon fund will probably use this for DS christmas present.
  • Afternoon guys.

Recieved a free tree today from velvet, bot sure where i am going to plant it yet.

Nipped to Tesco to get satsumas and potatoes so i won't be tempted to nip in over the weekend, managed to spen just over a tenner but got some fab bargains-

Appletiser x2 had a £1 coupon off and on offer 2 for £4 so got 2 for £3, these have been put into christmas food cupboard askiddies have it on christmas day in wine glasses bless:rotfl:.
Ariel stain remover on offer at £3 but had a £1 coupon off so cost £2 also has a thing o it that if it doesn't work claim your money back, might look into that;).
Toblerone 100g bar 40p off coupon so 59p and wil be put into DS movie night box i am making for christmas.
Lindt chocolate, box with 4 lindt choccies in £1.29:eek:, but had a coupon to get these free:D, will use these in DD movie box.
Finish 12 wash Quantamtic dishwasher thingy that you put into the machine £9.95:eek: , coupon for £9 off (yes you read right) so cost 95p won't be buying the refill packs for this though as they are £8.

So managed to make some good savings i think.

Not much else to report except that it is blinking freezing up here in Lancashire, works good, homes good, could just do with a bit more money:D.

Oh also put meter readings in today for pat 10 days we have used £19.51 in electric:( and £3.37 in Gas:D and In credit by £130.
Need to really reduce the electric somehow, but know with winter coming it will be hard, as lights are on more, tv/games consoles are on more as kiddies play out less and also the evil tumble dryer is used more, at least we have the woodburner and CH is only on when it is baltic.
  • Also made another £10 on ebay today.
