  • Wow! Check you - Mrs coupon! That's fab! Also well done on the Ebaying!

Did you plant your free tree?

  • I love reading these diaries - makes me feel more normal!!:rotfl: My dh says a dinner isn't a proper dinner unless it has meat (sorry to hark back to this! ;)) but I think it's cos he is old fashioned and it was the way he was brought up. Personally I love pasta and veggie food but he will have none of it - so I just don't cook for him those nights so it's even cheaper!;)

Also good to see someone else who uses retail therapy on bad day then feels guilty after, completeing defeating the point of spending to cheer yourself up!! :)

  • Where do you get all your coupons from?
Is the dolls house from Asda pink? If so i have seen it in the shop and i bet ur dd will love it :)
  • Hi smarties, yes its the pink one, coupons are till spits from tesco and ones that have come through the post.
  • Morning, cannot believe how cold it is up here, frost on the ground and car is frozen up BRRR, but CH hasn't clicked on so wood burner is doing its job:D.

Well holidays are here and DS/DD are driving me mad already:p, took them to library friday so we are stocked up on books for the week, yesterday went to visit my nan, came back with a box of bold washing powder as my bro had gone shopping for her trying to be helpful and bought bold instead of ariel and she is refusing to use it, as she has always used ariel, told her it was just as good, but no wouldn't have it (think she was that way out) wouldn't take any money for it either:mad:.

Nipped into poundstretcher and aldi on the way home, managed to spend £26 in Aldi but hubby paid for it:D, as i was getting a bit stroppy at the amount of carp he was putting in and told him i wasn't made of money, so once he said that i made sure lots of fruit and veg got chucked in as well.
Nipped in to Pets at Home so kiddies could have a look at rabbits, fish etc, spent £2 on guinea pig treats, we have decided we do want to get a pup and hubby is going to have a lok at some labbies and spaniels this week:D.
Also went into poundstretcher, bought a couple of christmas presents, shortbread and slippers for G Grandma, had 2 fleeces in a set for £4.99 so got those for new pup (just getting organised) some plastic tubs for batch cooking and a couple of new pillows.

Have spent some of Amazon voucher on a scalextric for DS and have £15 left, DD dolls house came and has been shifted to MIL just needs building now.

Have a couple of things ending on ebay today only 1 has any bids so far and have a couple of things to list, need to go and buy live yoghurt as i'm going to have a go at making it, HFW was doing it on river cottage the other night and it looked so easy and as we eat loads of the stuff, might just save us some pennies.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Hi Pennywise!

Good going girl getting OH to pay for the Aldi shop! I love Aldi for juice - I think their cola is nicer than coca-cola - and it's only £1.30 odd for 4 x 2 litre bottles! :money:

Exciting news about the puppy - I would love one but need to wait for my bigger house I'm afraid! Get the pup signed up to Toluna and Pinecone as soon as it arrives.....:rotfl:

  • Eeeeek! Hide!

Sorry, that's not very helpful. Hopefully she won't stay too long hun.

    Good Luck x

  • Hope you're feeling a little happier today. If not, just leave the house and guilt your aunty into thinking you are having a complete nervous breakdown and are thinking of asking her to have the kids for a few weeks while you get your head together - that should stop her coming over for a while!!!!!:)
But seriously, it's impossible to keep the house tidy while the kids are awake so just shut all the bedroom doors. Tidy living room and bathroom, then get kids baking in the kitchen, with all the flour flying around, she won't want to linger!!
This time tomorrow it will all be over and you can get back to relaxing.

  • Well family been and gone, still feeling a bit down but at least the house is sparkling, well all except my bedroom which is where all the carp got thrown, also can't believe it but i've started with another cold its only been about 3 weeks since the last one, going to go and buy some multi vitamins to boost the immune system, honestly if i was a dog i'd have been put down by now:rotfl:.

managed to sell a BIN on ebay and have made £8 which is good, ready for pay day on fri as we are looking low on stuff, hardly any conditioner left, hubby needs razors, going to do a stock take this week see what we need, going to use the voucher i got for £10 off a £50 spend at Tesco and try and do rest of shopping at aldi/lidl.

Right off to take more paracetamol and drink more tea:).
