Ok I get what you mean about the hard manual labour. My OH mans a desk, but does ALOT of sport, so I do heap up his plate for him. The trick is to not have the same as him!!!! I am starting to do this now (ie get my portions under control LOL). This has had the unintended and MSE effect of there being enough left for OH for his lunch the next day. Result.
Well done to OH for fixing the LOO. My OH will always have a look see, but most often things are so old here, that it needs a professional to sort it out!

Hi Pennywise, im just catching up with you since last week!!
Re the dolls house, it was the pink type that you would see in ELC so no good then! I bet you will sell the old one though in the run up to Christmas. You gave me inspiration to clear out the kids toys ready for Santa bringing shiny new ones! Only thing is I only found 2 to sell :rotfl:!!
With me having 2 girls theres no point selling the older ones stuff as I can use them for the younger one. But hey if I can sell these and the other bits ive got its better than none I suppose!
Im also selling a few old baby stuff aswell so fingers crossed.
Ive also started writing lists about whos getting what for Christmas. This year I am determined to stick to it.
I also told mil we are no longer buying for the extended family ie aunties and uncles. Its just getting ridiculous so this year it stops :T.
Catch up soon xMummytogirls x0 -
Hi mummy, we have also stopped buying for great aunties and 2nd cousins and all of that, its just immediate family,
Been talking to hubby last night about christmas and have told him that this year we are having a quiet one at home, last year we had grandparents, aunts and uncles etc, i did all the cooking etc, spent a fortune on food and didn't really enjoy the day, all i really wanted to do was to eat my lunch and flake out on the sofa with a giant box of choccies and watch tv, instead i was cooking, made 2 different starters and dessert to please everyone and a huge buffet tea, sorting kids out, sorting drinks, entertainment for everyone, it was exhausting, so this year just me, hubby and the kids:D.
Yesterday i managed to make £8 on ebay still have some bits still on and have got bids of £20, also reisted some things that didn't sell yesterday.
Today santander CC statement arrived so need to update sig.
In the middle of making profiteroles for a get together tommorrow, also need to make flapjack, pork chops for tea with rst tatties and veg.
Hope everyones well, oh and only 4 more sleeps till i break up for half term:j.0 -
Didn't make flapjack made chocolate brownies instead and they are divine

I can't even begin to start thinking about christmas yet - I've still got my head firmly in the sand about that!!

Morning pennywise, hope you have a lovely chilled out Christmas this year after the last hectic one!
This is going to sound awful but re the aunties etc they only get something from the Boots 3 for 2 range! and they only get us similar and tbh id rather not bother! That sounds so ungrateful doesnt it!!
So this year its about the kids. Doesnt help much with having both their birthdays so close to Christmas, very bad planning on our part haha :rotfl:!!!!
Ooohhh the brownies sound devine, enjoy x xMummytogirls x0
