  • Well we are back and had a fantastic time, spent far too much money and now really need to get back into money saving.

So today has not been a brilliant start managed to spend £16 in aldi followed by £85 in asda:eek:, plenty of food in the house now and will do us 2 weeks.

Have withdrawn £10 into paypal from a survey company and have done a £4 survey from p!necon£, recieved some free yorkshire tea teabags and a fitness dvd that i had won.

Did meters this morning and have used £5.39 in gas and £8.86 in electric and this is only because we have been away wish we could get it down to this all the time.

Hope everyone is ok and enjoying the warm weather.
  • Hi Penny, glad you had a fab break and if two weeks shopping came to below £100 for four of you i think that's a result :money:
Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs

    Hi Pennywise

    Happy Birthday for tomorrow xx

Glad you had a good weekend away, my 2 are pestering to go to Legoland as they've never been so I think we'll be heading down there over the summer holidays. DH is all for camping down there but I'm thinking hotel!

Food prices are extortionate, but if thats to last two weeks thats pretty good going.

The warm weather is fab, hope it lasts xx
  • Good morning and thankyou for the birthday wishes, had a lovely day a got some fab presents and £50 in cash which was banked yesterday, how good am i, decided as there is nothing a wamt/need at the minute i would bank it as it would just get frittered away, may just put it in the holiday fund.

Today will be a spend day as DD is horseriding, but i'm not going anywhere else so won't need to purchase anything.

Plans for today include cleaning kids bedrooms, giving up on them doing it.

Make a trifle to use up not so healthy looking strawberries and banana bread to use up black bananas, roast a chicken think we will have this with salad and HM bread tonight.

mmm dinner sounds good - pass some this way!

Glad you had a good birthday and very sensible re:cash. I also think you did fantastically shopping for 2 weeks on that small a budget. We manage to stick to £50 per week but find it fairly hard!

  • Thanks kat, was quite a good shop, but will need to buy more fruit and veg next week, but at least the bulk of the shopping is there and i have washing powder and plenty of dishwasher tabletsd, have run out of stardrops and floor cleaner, do have wooden floor cleaner so that will do for downstairs, bathroom is lino will just use hot water with a dash of washing up liquid in it for now.

Trifle is made and bread is in the oven, might cook the chicken off now whilst oven is on as we can eat it cold later.
