Hi Penny, I spent most of today reading your diary on my phone. Very entertaining and inspiring.
I have a LOT of debt (+£20k) and am determined to get rid of it and you have shown me it can be done. I missed a couple of the pages in your diary as my eyes were going funny, lol, but then I have this evening sorted my financial paperwork (dire as it is) and given myself a kick up the butt to do something about it. Unfortunately this isnt the first time for me, although was used for better purposes this time (leaving work, health issues, setting up freelance).
Will be subscribing and coming back to see how you are getting on.0 -

Hi Guys, hope you had a good Easter and didn't eat too much choccie.
Well i've managed 2 NSD:D, will need to spend tomorrow though as i need petrol:(.
Not really been up to much just pottering around the garden and enjoying the weather, i'm back at work and kids back at school tomorrow, but its only for 3 days, to be honest doesn't seem worth it and i know that my childrens school and the school i work at are just having fun days on the Thursday for the Royal wedding.
Trying to get organised childrens school uniforms are ready, school bags are ready, my work clothes choosen and laid out ready, i need to sort my work bag out, have boiled eggs ready for tomorrows sandwiches, need to bake a cake of some sort.
Have made a huge Lasagne for tea tonight, but there will be enough left over for tomorrow nights tea, or a might freeze it.0 -
Also forgot to add that i did meter readings this morning, we have used........
Gas - £3.28
Elec- £13.89
Really pleased that it has come down and what a difference with the gas, simply because no heating is on, still using it for cooking(hob only, oven electric) and heating any water for washing up baths as shower is electric. I Would like electric to come down slightly more but don't think its doable, we will see the kids and myself have been at home this week so tv's, game systems etc have all been on during the day, will see when they are back at school properly £10 a week would be good, would mean we could also get into credit as we pay £90 a month DD for both and would be nice to build a bit of a buffer fo next winter.0 -
Morning just a quick one before i go get kids up, really don't want to go to work i'm sure i will be fine once i am there, think i have just emjoyed pottering around the last couple of weeks, i also hate the school run and the school playgroud clique.
Child benefit has gone in account today, had £26.49 in already so have paid that off Barc card and also paid another £9 off Barc card as kids have no clubs this week at school as its the first week back so i paid £35.50 off.
Right better go and get showered and dressed.0 -
Good evening.
Excellent first day back at work and felt good to get back into it once i was there.
Todays spends so far have been £10 petrol, going swimming later with a friend she rang me today and asked me if i would go with her, i was a bit reluctant to be honest but she persuaded me as its a ladies only evening session they are starting at the local secondary school, so as we both need to lose weight we have decided to go along, so that will be a spend but only £2.
Recieved some free beetroot seeds in the post today and not alot else.0 -
I hate doing the school run and the cliques that go on as well, although I do like looking round the playground to see what sort of fashion faux pas are happening.
Glad you had a good day back xx0 -
Makes me laugh choo when they are in there little groups, dressed the same, same hair cuts and going on holiday together, i just think get a life.
Forgot to mention yesterday, recieved a bottle of wine from work collegue for my birthday, hadn't seen her in the hols as she was away during school hols, have put wine away and will save it for the weekend which hopefully will stop me from buying any.
Weather looks cloudy and yuck here hope it brightens back up for the weekend.0
