  • Morning, not alot going on but have been naughty and just spent £16.75 with P&P, went onto the Wallis website and they had some boots in the sale that i've had my eye on any way they were reduced to £12 and also a nice top that was reduced to £5 so have bought both and also used the 25% off code thats knocking around, did go through quidco, in my defence it is nearly my birthday:o.

Right must go and make packups and get some washing on.
  • Woken up this morning with my throat feeling like sandpaper and my nose streaming, why does this always happen i get to the end of a school term have fought off all bugs as the little darlings are constantly coughing and sneezing all over me and as soon as i'm going to have time off i get ill  oh well only today and tomorrow and then we break off.

Have managed to bung some beef and veggies into slow cooker so thats tea sorted and dd is at her friends tonight so is eating there, can't be bothered to make my lunch so going to take fruit and yoghurt to be honest my throat really hurts and i don't feel like eating.

Have withdrawn £25 from surv£yh£ad its a paypal payment and said it could take 4 weeks, first payment from them so will see, just don't have a very good feeling about it.

ok better get ready for work.

    Hi Pennywise

Sorry you're not feeling too good, sounds like you do well to miss all the little darlings germs all term though. Well done on treating yourself for a change, and getting bargains as well!

I'm sure that the surveysite will pay out just fine for you.

Hope you're feeling better soon xx

  • Thanks guys thats kind of you, still feel pants and yet can't stop eating, whats the saying 'feed a cold and starve a fever', ended up buying lunch as only took fruit and a yoghurt with me thinking i wouldn't want much and ended up buying a pasta salad so that was £2.

Have done a sainsburys order as they sent me a free delivery code if i spent £50, was very good did my meal plan for next week and everything came to £32 so ordered extra stuff for the week after that could be frozen meat bread etc, so thats being delivered tomorrow afternoon.

Last day at work tomorrow and finish at lunchtime, really ready for it and just want a few lazy days at home and get caught up on some housework, will be nice not to run around like a headless chicken in a morning.

Not much happening on the money front, need to pay Barc card and trying to resist holidays we can't afford.

Off to bed in a minute.
  • Morning, felt pants again yesterday, but as i was only in for a half day as school shut at lunch time, so i dosed myself up and went in, spent most of it sat in assembly as it was the childrens Easter concert and then awards for the term, so kinda sat in a corner in a daze, well at least i was paid for it:D.

One of the teachers i work with gave me a bottle of wine as a thankyou for helping her with all the SATS preperations, so that was kind of her, also recieved an easter egg from the head, now i've been a little naughty as it was a Galaxy one and thats the only chocolate i don't like, so i gave it to other half and pretended i was being really loving and had bought him it:o:rotfl:, which means he will go out and buy me one that he knows i like:D.

Felling lot better this morning just really tired, so i'm going to have a lazy day at home pottering, want to get all schol uniform washed, dried and ironed and then thats done, dishwasher and washing machine are on.

Had loads of surveys in my inbox this morning so have done them and withdrawn a £10 amazon voucher from IP$o$, going to try and keep the amazon ones for christmas, OMG i said that word and its only April.

    Hi Pennywise

Hope you're feeling better at least you're on holiday now so at least you can rest abit more, well as much as any mum can.
Ha to the easter egg it sounds like something that I would do (I wonder where your DD gets her evil streak from? lol Although I love Galaxy I would probably of troughed the lot before I got home!

I can't believe that you're already thinking of the C word already, we haven't even had Easter yet! :rotfl:
  • Good morning, just having a 5 minute mooch whilst having a cup of tea and a HM scone:).

Weather here is pants, glad i managed to get all my washing done yesterday, just have a massive ironing pile to wade through now.

Been chatting to hubby about holidays, we have decided that as we are not going abroad this year we will next, but have told him he needs to be prepared to save and cut back the same as i do, he doesn't really get it to be honest, it gets a bit frustrating when i say to him i don't want anything off him for my birthday as i would rather spend the money on a family day out rather than a piece of jewellery, but he will then go and buy something else or will look at me as though he is starved and neglected if i say we are having a veggie meal for tea and when i explain about economising he just thinks i'm being tight. (sorry for moaning).

On the moneysaving side of things, soup has been chucked together in the slow cooker, sort of a veggie lentilly, chilli soup, i'm sure it will be fine :o.
20p made this morning on onepoll.

Off to do some ironing and try and persuade DS to tidy the pit he calls a bed room, wish me luck.
