Hi All, everything is fine, these last weeks at work are tough though and I am working hard, five weeks to go. My knee is still painful and it looks like a small op is definitely on the cards. I have five weeks to go........

    Hi Tootalullah

How is everything? Your knee, your retirement and the chapel purchase? Hope all is ok.

Hi All, five days to leaving, it is surreal I have worked at the same place for nearly 35 years............however no regrets which is a relief. I have done nothing mortgage wise but may have a couple of hundred or so at the end of the month. However I am retiring from this job not from work and I already have a ten week contract in July and August which puts off taking my pension for another three months, every month I can do this adds £200 per year to my pension so it is really worth it. From May I am going to concentrate on the mortgage and see how I do I have re financed everything to be back to 80 payments again so that will be a good target to get down.

Hi toots. Good to hear you are back on track and you only have 5 days to go before leaving. You must be excited with a new fresh start ahead and new contracts to look forward to.

How is your knee? Is it fully repaired yet?

Have a great last week :j

I had a brilliant last week, very good memories and no regrets. So now I need to get on it. I am going to aim for £1000 per month and my first target will be the £34k mortgage so I need that gone in 34 months. I can pay £500 p.m from my pension so I need to earn at least £500 per month, if I make more it will go to the second mortgage. To meet my new 80 payment challenge it needs to be £2k per month so I will nip off and ruminate on that conundrum. What a beautiful day I have the whole summer in front of me - deep joy.
