Thanks ND that's what I thought it is a fantastic displacement activity imagining being in the chapel, let's hope it isn't horrible when I get inside!0

A planning week-end is ahead. I need to make a big list of everything I need to do on my own London flat to rent it out, I need to find the paper part of my driving license and do a proper budget for when I am living on my pension, which is half my current monthly income, I need to see the accountant about my consultancy plans, I need to be ready for retirement in nine weeks time. Terrible mortgage month with no extra payments and the next two months are likely to be the same as I need to spend money getting the flat presentable and landlord legal.0

Office at the end of the road sounds perfect!!

And woooo to retiring in 9 weeks but sounds there is a fair few things to get done!!
I hear ya on the spendy month (and I only got paid yesterday!! :rotfl:)
Up for a grocery challenge this coming month? That's the only way I can think of clawing back some pennies!0 -
Hiya TYO, yes grocery challenge I will nip over to yours to sort that out. Spent yesterday £7.81 on a fabulous yellow sticker extravaganza and have enough fruit, veg and general food for a week. I have split my remaining salary, after the bills have gone out, into five pots to see of that works better for me in budgeting. I have just paid £350 off the mortgage.
Odd week this week where I am only in the office for two days and on one of those I have my last Board meeting, one thing I will not miss at all.0 -
Forgot lunch, v poor start I had to buy a sandwich! Still let's hope that I do better for the rest of the week0

I am keeping a daily log of my bank account to see where I go week on week. I have no cash in my purse and am away for work this evening so I do need to visit the hole in the wall. My aim is to pay £1000 extra off the mortgage, time will tell....
