It is at the point it looks worse than when I started, nice to see you Greent. Today I am not leaving the house until all the fabric boxes are either unpacked or have a new home and I have labelled them so I know what I have. I also need to get back on Ebay as I need to clear my London flat ready for it being rented out.0

Ahhhh - *that* stage! Inevitably my husband always walks in on me if I'm doing something at just *that* stage - and then asks why it looks worse than before I started!!:rotfl:
Good luck with ebay - I seem to remember you had some good success before? I genuine HATE selling on ebay but needs must, sadly I still love buying..........
I spent £4.56 today on fruit and veg. For the next four months I am living on what I will receive as my pension, I hope to do plenty of consultancy but I also need a bit of training on sticking to a budget. From Monday I will be back to my £10.00 a day challenge. One change is that I have weaned myself off my morning coffee, Cafe Nero changed the coffee and I didn't like the new brand so I gave it up.

Hi Tootallulah, Just dropping in to say hello and that I think that's a really good idea and one that I am going to adopt as soon as the mortgage is done and dusted - hopefully in a couple of month's time - fantastic incentive to see if it can be done! Good luck - AG :-)4 February 2014 - Mortgage Free

Skips in "14 weeks to go, la, la, la". Okie dokey. I have £50in my purse, it is very heavy as they are from my pound coin stash, £202.34 in the bank and two weeks until pay day. And I retire in 14 weeks time so it really is a count down. I also paid £350 off my mortgage this morning and I am loving the round numbers.
Today I am making a rag doll for a friend who is collecting her adopted daughter from China in two weeks time. Great to have some positive news in hideous January.0 -
I'm on the countdown too, only 16.5 weeks til mat leave starts  :j:j! Am sure it will fly by. Not sure I could contain myself if I was retiring!!
Ragdoll sounds like a lovely and thoughtful gift.
My office (which is the room am concentrating on in Jan) is currently at *that stage* too. Sigh.Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Oh the excitement MW - what good news. £90.89 in the bank, I forgot it was insurance payment time, 11 days until pay day. £50 in pound coins still intact. Also I remembered my £10.00 "emergency" money in my bus pass.0

Note to self - you'll have less jaw dropping moments if you look to see who has posted before reading the post
Thought I was going to have to start knitting toots :rotfl:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

In the bank £65.20, in pound coins 43, emergency £10.00 still intact. Pay day is ten days away now I am determined not to be over drawn, there is no need but it will be a close run thing. I am expecting some expenses so they may save the day.
Going to work and living on the pension sum is not easy but I really think work hoovers up unnecessary spending so perhaps that will be easier once I have retired. Odd thing is that I have an interview for a job on Friday......................0
