Hi MW, lovely to see you. I had to do absolutely nothing on the next door flat, My lovely ex-neighbour had VERY high standards, I knew the flat was in good order and had spent quite a lot of time in it myself before I bought it. Apart from a very thorough clean I had nothing more to do. He moved out on one Friday I had a tenant within two weeks.
I have made myself a whole series of new wardrobes, as I have gone from size 24 to 18, still a long way to go but I feel so much better, all the cliches: more energy, feel better, feel more positive etc, etc. No crafting this year, tea cosied out last November. And being a landlady plus full time work is quite testing. I am also travelling a lot for work which is fun but does;t leave much time.
Back to spending, coffee £2.25.0 -
Week-end in London with visits to Hollywood Costume, at the V&A, Walthamstow market, dinner with friends and much cleaning on the agenda.

Well done on the weight loss :T, a great achievement. But does that mean your beautiful HM coat doesn't fit - or are you going to adjust it?
The BTL sounds as low maintenance as you can get, in terms of works required and speed of letting.
Have a lovely weekend. What brings you up my neck of the woods -are you doing a spot of fabric shopping? I'll be on the south coast visiting the MIL *forced smile*. Am planning to visit the Hollywood costume exhibition one day during the next few weeks. Let me know what you think of it. Have heard it is VERY busy.Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

NO SPENDING DAY. Oh that is a very rare thing for me. Hellooooo MW good to see you I will nip over to your thread. My beautiful home made coats (all 3) have gone to the charity shop and I am wearing n M&S special! I am off to Walthamstow market for fabric, lace, elastic etc. Possibly TMI but none of my knickers fit either and now I make my own - desparately trying to become more Agent Provocateur than granny pants with mixed results. In money news I have just counted my years worth of pound coins £381. Citing.0

Busy few days , dinner with friends £45, 3 X coffees £6.75, 2 X taxis £26 (will be claimed back). I have managed to swerve all shops and am eating out of the freezer and cupboards quite successfully. I am not at the freezer surprise, odd meal combos yet. I need to get to the end of the month without going into the overdraft, 18 days to pay day and £189 left in my account. In addition I have my pound coin stash which I could break into if necessary.0

Dinner with client £101, will be claimed back. Rather a long day, I have just got in and I left the house at 7 no wonder I am knackered. Only £88 left in my account, 17 days to go.0

Helloooooooo everyone, scooting back in I have had a quick look round everyone seems to be doing very well - me not so well. BUT life is about to change at the end of September I am going to take early retirement. This is the first place I have said this out loud but I have decided. So I have six months to really sort out my life ready for a different, less financially rewarding but more fulfilling life. My pension lump sum will take £100k off my main home mortgage and I will pay off another £16k before I retire (will be tracked on here). By my calculations that will leave me with £50k to pay in 10 years. Mortgage free wannabe I need you!0

Yay! Congratulations on your forthcoming retirement. I retired last august

Although I am a newbie MFW! 50k in ten years is achieveable, its only 5k per annum!
