Hi TYO, nice to see you, I have a flat in London and a house in Notts. London during the week, Notts at the week-end.
The problem with the blue is it is the only painting I can't do myself, it's a Victorian house and the hall, stairs and landing are very high, it needs a scaffolding tower. I have decided to just accept it and live and learn. I really don't want all of my house to just be white so I need to get a colour head on.
If my boss agrees I am booking Malaysia on Monday, it will be great. I have loads of stuff to Ebay, hopefully a wardrobe full of size 22 clothes in the not too distant future! I just need to get off my !!! and get going.
My biggest boon since January is the 15 minutes a day clean. My flat is very small and every day (morning or evening) I plug in the Archers podcast and clean like billyo for fifteen minutes. It really keeps on top of stuff and I feel loads better coming home to a tidy/cleanish flat. De-cluttering at the same time means I feel less like a bag lady I will never be minimalist but it is definitely better.
I have set next months repayment figures at £2200 + interest, we shall see how that goes.0 -
5 balls of wool, £11.75.
Day ten in the Weight Watchers flat, no cheating yet. This week I have four corporate events, three of which are dinners. PITA this is normally a pre-Christmas timetable I don't know what has got into companies don't they know January is for de-tox?
Anyway I have made up my lunch and packed loads of fruit so hopefully by self control I won't be over my points.
I am booking my holiday today subject to the leave being approved. Tropical sun here I come.0 -

Isn't it funny how words mean different things depending on where you live? I am from proper oop north (yorkshire relocated to the NE) and here fettle means getting wound up about something 'he got himself in a right fettle over his burnt toast':)
You are doing really well sticking to WW:DSave £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
Make £2021 extra income - £99.750 -
Hope you get the leave and glad you managed to pick up some wool.
4 events in one week  - I think it is cheaper for organisations to hire places in Jan, hence why in these straightened times we tend to see more New Years parties than previously (when they were just good old fashioned Christmas parties!). Well done you if you manage to stick to WW with such temptation - I'm uncontrollable around free food/a buffet!Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89
OPs 2011-2016 = £45K 2017 OPs = £9250.200 -
Determination/desperation still high so no WW cheating yesterday. Work agreed the leave for Malaysia and I will book tonight as soon as I get in from corporate do 2 of this week.
Came home in a cab last night which I can claim on expenses, bought a coffee £2.10.
Put on my pedometer and on a normal day only did 7700 steps so I need to get that up as an easy on the joints way of exercising whilst I have so much weight to go.
It was still lightish at 5 last night, come on winter get on your way I want it to be spring.0 -
well done on WW and yay on the holiday!!

I know I cant wait for spring either....love it when the evenings get lighter again!0 -
Hi TYO, I hope that your work escape plan progresses well, I'll nip over to your thread in a bit and find out.
Tuesday was a .................NSD, woo hoo. WW, no cheating yet.
Malaysia is booked and I will pay for it over the next three months, largely from the two months off rates and water charges and the fact that my 0% credit card will be paid off so it won't be a big stop to the mortgage overpayments which is important to me.
Two weeks tomorrow I move back into my house, I can't wait.0 -
Malaysia sounds fab! Isn't the weather better there too in March rather than July? Is July right in the middle of monsoon season? Anyway, enjoy!!Nov 2025 - part 1 - £13,878 part 2 - £20,953 Total - £34,832 24 months to go!0

January/Feb is monsoon time on the East Coast but March should be lovely. There is a massive tropical storm every day but that is just normal weather. For me March means that winter will be shorter and I can be in England for the summer making the most of my garden.
I bought fruit and veg yesterday £11.87.
Last event of the week tonight, I like vegging out of an evenng in the week but it hasn't been as difficult as I expected on the eating front. So still no cheating(it is only two weeks so I had better not get too excited). I aim to have lost 2 stone by the time I go to Malaysia so it is a good mini target. Then the main aim is not to put it back on again whilst on holiday.0 -
Hooray it is Friday thank goodness. I am interviewing people today but will be able to get away at 5 tonight for a good night in. I have had the horrible realisation of middle-age this morning as I am so looking forward to an evening with the Thompson and Morgan catalogue choosing my seeds for the garden!
I have booked the moving people and informed the storage company that move back date is 3 February. I am counting down the days. Two weeks today I will be back in my own house, oh what joy. A week to pay day.
Holiday booked and on the credit card to be paid off over the next two months. This week-end I WILL set up an Ebay seller account as I don't want to lose the mortgage paying momentum. However the last three times I have tried this I have failed so good wishes are badly needed!0
