Good luck toots :jA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Thanks all of you, your messages really cheered me up. I was unbelievably nervous as I hadn't weighed myself for years, the point at which size 22 stopped fitting was the weight lbm. Anyway I know what the figure is, 100lbs will nearly do it..................it's nearly as daunting as the mortgage. I am looking at the new WW plan and will be off to the shops to buy a list of fresh food tomorrow.
I am having a quiet week-end, much needed after very spendy week. The great news is that my moving back to the house day is fixed for 3 February and the builder sent me pictures of my finished kitchen today, it is lovely. I gave up on granite work surfaces, I just ran out of money, but I have managed to get everything else done. I need to find carpet for the stairs and landing but everything else is covered. I made the blinds for the kitchen and the builder has put them up. I've just realised that means the kitchen is finished, woo, hoo. I am going to reward the first 20lbs weight loss with a new kitchen table.
With a bit of will power that will be around the end of February0 -
Just remembered a big important thing I am going on holiday to Malaysia in July with friends not sure quite how that gets paid for but it will. I love Malaysia.0

Well you all know I'm a spender but January is proving to be terrible, yesterday I spent £88 in Sainsbury, this was buying store cupboard stuff for my diet and loads of fresh fruit that I like to encourage me to eat it rather than look at at. So apples are not in the fruit bowl/fridge but cherries, strawberries and nectarines are that will explain the £88 then.
I made tomato soup and a big pan of low fat ragu so I have stuff for lunches and suppers ready to go. The new weight watchers plan suits me as pretty much all fruit and veg is free so without going made on the fruit I can get in plenty of filling stuff.
Today I am finishing the two dresses I started last week, I seem to have made something useful, stylish and wearable, long may that mojo continue. I need to get back to the half finished coat.0 -
No spending day on Sunday, today I bought a coffee £2.10. I have booked the removal van etc, etc for 3 February, I'm moving back home, I can't wait.
Off to do a bit of mid week cleaning..........there's a first.0 -
Well done on taking the first step. I am positive you can do it. It may cost more but your health is surely worth it.
Are we going to see some photos of your sewing work? And your kitchen.0 -
ooo...exciting about the move
I forget are you moving back permanently and selling the flat?...
well done on the healthy shop and first efforts- I need to get myself in gear on that front too!0 -
Day 4 in the weight Watchers flat, no cheating yet. The new points plan is good loads of fruit and veg so at present it is not too difficult, let's see where I am next week. At present my enthusiasm is high and I have worked out ten rewards one for each 10 lbs lost. AND the thought of being three or four stones lighter when I go to Malaysia is currently a big encouragement.
I haven't decided about selling the flat but I am going to try and get a lodger for my house as that will really help and I do need to get my financial act together. No rates or water to pay in the next two months and that will cover my moving back expenses.
I am longing to be back getting the house sorted and doing some plant growing for my garden. I just want hideous January to be over and spring to be around the corner.0 -
Great news on sticking to WW, it is one day at a time until it becomes habit. It always costs more to eat extra specially healthy - I've done a few detoxes and my food and supplement spending was ridiculously high. But hopefully costs will settle down. You can also use tinned fruit in fruit juice, sometimes that works out cheaper which I never understand! Do you have any street markets near you - you could pick up your basic fruits and your veg a lot cheaper than Mr S.
Good luck for the move back. I second the photo request.
