Breakfast meeting at 8.00, that's another thing that needs stomping on.
Levels of patience low..............Still, could be worse!
Bah humbug! I know how you feel - it's our Xmas do tomorrow. As I once memorably said, I'm hoping for six inches in the morning:eek::rotfl::snow_laug

Well the way I feel 4" would do! anyhoo, great Christmas do lovely team, had a really good time etc, etc,
Just need to get today over and get everything packed and sorted to be able to get north next Wednesday. Can't imagine what was in my mind when I agreed to work next Monday and Tuesday, who needs it.
Need to wrap my Mum's Christmas present from my brother and then it is really all done.0 -
Missed all the Soap and Glory hype but happened to go into Boots in High Street Ken yesterday and bought two of their large boxes of stuff reduced to £25 from £60. I have split them and added bits to my stash but also made up some extra pressies for my nieces to go with their Christmas money. Must avoid shops with avengeance going forward as I have a reckless "so what" thing going on at present.
No snow in south London yet but it is very cold and I have just got up and put on the heating which I cannot remember doing for years.
All my Christmas parties are over until I go home so my plan is a quiet week-end with no hassles.0 -
enjoy your quiet weekend!
Boots pressies sound bargains well done! I know what you mean tho about spending - it gets near xmas and I tend to go OTT so its good it is snowing pretty heavily here which makes venturing out to the shops something only a mad woman would do (so I keep telling myself anyway! :rotfl:)
Barbie clothes sound fab Im sure they will be well recieved!0 -
Hi YO, nice to see you. I have finished the Barbie clothes today whilst snow chaos reigns outside. NSD due to adverse weather conditions.0

Big botheration I have just eaten pizza and one of my back teeth has literally fallen out (it was all filling, I am a child of the 60s). Bloody hell do you think I can get a dental appointment this side of Christmas? I literally have the outside of the tooth and everything else is just gum, it feels very odd. At some point I had root canal work I am praying it is on this tooth as at least that way there can be no pain.
I feel that today's no spending day is going to be Very Very expensive.0 -
Coffee £2, have got a dental appointment tomorrow so have had to take an extra day off work and am giving up and going home for Christmas.
I saw Museumworker on the telly, very professional and knowledgeable, looked as cool as Christmas too!0 -
Aw thanks toots you're making me
:o:o.. still haven't been able to face watching it back so will have to take your word for it!

Back in my London flat due to absolute chaos at Kings Cross, weather problems plus there is an electrical failure at Peterborough. I gave up after four hours, poor travellers and poor staff people were being unbelievably aggressive- tired as well as anxious I suppose. I am going to get up V early tomorrow and just get on the first train going vaguely near Grantham, Newark, or Retford anyone of those is close enough for one or other brother to collect me.
Have had to cancel the dental appointment so will see what I can do on Thursday, I had better get there before I make any more teeth arrangements I don't want to waste anyone's time or take an appointment that someone else can use.
I need to get out to buy some milk which requires me to find a pair of socks and lace up my walking boots. I am waiting until I've warmed up a bit.0 -
OK left the flat at 5.45 and got onto a train going to Newark at 6.55, GREAT it should have gone at 7.10 BUT they have lost the driver! We have now heard that he/she is on their way to Kings Cross but we don't know when the train will go. However it is warm, it will leave eventually and I should be in my own house by 10 at the latest which will be LOVELY. Just heard that the driver is in the station so we should be on our way in the next ten minutes.
I am, at last, excited about Christmas. Also thinking good moving thoughts to Hypno and Mooloo for them to be safe and happy in their new houses.
Feeling the pull of TK Maxx...............................0
