I wasn't able to find a free one on my phone! I have mapmyfitness too0

Week 2 all done. Week 3 next. Slightly worried about running for 3mins. Sounds so ridiculous, 3mins seems nothing but to me 3mins sounds like my struggle! Will update again soon.

Louise - I keep thinking to myself - it's just the length of a song, so it's totally doable. (already mentally prepping ha!)0

That's a good way of thinking. I will try that next time I'm out (and will have to put some blimming interesting songs on my playlist to keep me entertained!)

Thanks for the replies. I'd love a treadmill however I have £0 to spare and no space for one! I prefer running outdoors anyway, I get to see beautiful views (I live in the Lake District). I get half an hour lunch break too, but I can literally set off from work down a quaint little track and turn back t halfway point. They wouldn't mind me getting sorted for 2mins before and 2mins after. Plus there's always deodorant haha. If I go at 1pm I can run until 1:30pm and only have to work until 3pm.
I too couldn't manage with a treadmill - the changing urban landscape that I run in keeps me going. As well as Laura obviously (NHS c25k podcasts)
Finished week 4 today :j
Hope to start week 5 on Thursday. Have now bought running socks, top and tights. Can't wait to see the miracle of running the week 5 times. 60 secs seemed so hard in week one:)I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Thanks BB,
I did it today, I used deodorant afterwards and also have use of my own toilet and washroom (just basin not shower) at work so wouldn't ever be minging! I have to admit it was hard going and I noticed I felt lightheaded afterwards which could've been a culmination of lack of food plus too much rushing around. On the plus side my phone battery died part way through, so instead of sticking to the 90secs jog 2mins walk I jogged constantly for approximately .5 of a mile and didn't feel TOO bad and when I did slow to a walk my breathing recovery was almost instant.PAD 2023 Debt total as of Dec 2022 £18,988.63*April £17,711.03

Well done:T:T. That shows a great commitment to your future health to think creatively around when you can do this.
My MP3player ran out of battery once. It was sooo annoying I always make sure I charge it as soon as I finish a run now.
Is there any way you can ensure you have a snack about an hour before a lunchtime run?I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Yes I can snack whenever and should but for some reason today I was so keen to get out I just don't think about eating! I had a home made cereal bar, which didn't sustain me very much.

It sounds silly but did anyone start this and think that they'd never be able to run 30mins? Im seriously having a moment of doubt in myself.
ETA - also when did it become a habit for people? How quickly we're you "bitten by the running bug?"PAD 2023 Debt total as of Dec 2022 £18,988.63*April £17,711.03

Trust the programme - 1000's have followed it and succeeded - remember it is called Couch to 5 k, so it is designed for the unfit and those of us who don't 'do' exercise. You don't have to believe you can run for 30 mins. You just have to believe you can get out there and do the next run in the programme.
Try the NHS C25k forum for loads of people who felt like you do and went on to succeed week by week.
