:eek: 10k!!!!!! Don't come on here using swear words like that :p

Very well done, great weight loss and achievement. Half marathon next? ;)

    Thanks.

I don't know what's next, but I do need to set a new goal. Plodding away on the treadmill has been fine while my target was weight loss, but yes, I'd like to possibly aim for a half marathon. It's too late to get entry to the Great North Run this year, but maybe next year's, along wiith a target to do a decent time.

Hi Chickvic, well done you made a start and that's what matters most!

The feeling of achievement will spur you on more each time and I am sure you'll be planning your next run already, because each run really does feel like such an amazing achievement.

Congrats on starting, that's the biggest hurdle to overcome. I couldn't jog for more than 30 seconds at a time when I first started (I used to gasp for air and be reaching out for the walk button at anything past 20 seconds), I can now jog for 20 mins, slow but getting there.

20 mins :T That is great, speed doesn't matter.

We run at snails pace until the last two minutes :o

Does anyone have the same problem as me, sorry but I hope you're not eating lunch.

I went out running on Monday, didn't feel my usual self, the run I did two days previously was much better. Got home and had to rush to the loo. No wonder my feet were heavy pounding the ground lol.

Yesterday I thought I'd try the treadmill for a change, 17 mins in I had to stop and again rush to the loo.

    Anyone else the same?

That will be your metabolism speeding up.

How close to running are you eating? And what are you eating before hand also?

  • So I've started taking some medication which is making me super sleepy at the moment. I just couldn't get out of bed Monday morning to do the run so didn't. However today I dragged myself up! But I couldn't face doing wk4run3 which has the 6 min run in.

So I repeated the run2 run. I'm really struggling with it at the moment. My legs are hurting badly when I'm running. Not damaging myself hurting but just hurting because they are moving!!

I was running for 20 mins straight only a few months ago and although it was hard it was nothing like this!!

Feel very demotivated about it at the moment.
