Thanks for the words of wisdom Spoon, you peeps have made this last week bearable somehow, I know you all won't let me slip, very humbling it is to have the support of lovely strangers who don't even know you
I'm aiming for an NSD today to get me back in the saddle, not sure about weekend though Saturday is a possibility unless our neighbours drive us out of the house with their darn football party and loud annoying behaviour. Apologies to all the footie mad NSD'rs out there, but not all of us give a fig leaf about the World Cup. Our [STRIKE]pain in the asp[/STRIKE] delightful neighbours are the sort that complain if you breathe after 10pm but think nothing of having karaoke parties in their back garden until 3am or later, you can't complain or they throw stuff in your garden and yell abuse. They're planning a huge football party this weekend, ever summer since we moved in here has been ruined by them, we can't have the windows open after 5pm because of the racket they make, other neighbours are fed up of them but they're all too scared to complain. They just got a dog as well and delight in encouraging it to bark as often as they can, we live 3 doors away and you can hear every word they say in a normal conversation, they don't talk to each other they shout all the time. Fingers crossed it rains (at least over our row this weekend), I know that sounds mean, but you'd have to live near them to see why I feel like that, not nice at all.

We're terrible at throwing things away "just in-case it will come in useful again!". Don't over do it though, you've been poorly all week and not eating much so you need to build your strength up, good luck helping your DD move this weekend.
I'm having a NWD today (non work day), got a few chores to do like iron shirts for DH for work next week and mop the kitchen floor, but after that I'm going to do some knitting or cross stitch can't decide which yet and watch some catch up TV. Have a good one everyone. I'll pop back in later and hopefully be able to declare today as an NSD as I don't plan on going anywhere

Morning everyone - hope you're all well today!
Spoon - loving this month's awards - I WANT THAT PONY!:rotfl:Thanks again for all your hard work and well done on your 8!
Moneypenny - I was horrified to hear about your poor kitty - I just cannot understand how anyone can be cruel to animals - it is just so unnecessary and mindless, makes me bloomin mad:mad: Hope he's on the mend soon. That sounds a fab deal for your spa treatments -you enjoy it. (PS - Im a Janet too, Jinty is a Scottish nickname for Janet and a lot of my family and friends call me that! )
Herby - glad youre having a NWD - you need to give yourself a little TLC!
Keiss - if you are having problems spending your tax rebate just give me a shout - I could give you a hand LOL!:rotfl:
Had a lovely lunch yesterday with some of the girls from work and our freind from the London office, so no NSD but v low spend as lunch was only £7. It was great to see her.
Today WILL be an NSD as I've no plans to go out. Have done a bit of tidying up, hoovered and dusted and baked a sticky gingerbread and a banana and date cake. They're cooling in the kitchen and the smell is divine!
Im now going to walk the dog, post some letters and then get on with my knitting in front of the telly. Total bliss!!:)
Have a great day !:)
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0 -

I hope everyone is doing well with their NSD's. I'm afraid that I think today will be another spend day for me as off to see Bon Jovi later (ticket was free) but I am sure I will buy a beer and snack when I am there

Good afternoon all, looks like it will be a NSD for me today but will confirm later.
Now, let's plan our non-spending NSD gang outings this month......21st for Stonehenge, complete with druid outfits and barbecue stuff, who's bringing the pork pies? Then there is a suggestion of a cider-quaffing chav bash in the alleyways of Leeds - got to get the Burberry gear out of the attic and slap on the dayglo orange foundation - when is it, anybody? One life - your life - live it!0 -
Early to declare, but today is going to be NSD no 3 for me :T
I entered the world cup sweeptstakes at work, but managed to get an IOU for tomorrow, so I don't have to pay today (tomorrow I know will not be a NSD)"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". number 8 for me
it's going well - but that's because i have no money to spend! :rotfl:

Re the Leeds alleyways - we're waiting for BDINI to give us the date I think (as she's putting us up in her garden:D).The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time
