Last year - no. That was 11 years ago

Who stole my time? I want it back! Now. This is just not funny. I'm apparently 11 years older than I thought I was. I bl**dy hope I look 10 years younger! :rotfl:solventsoon wrote: »
Hi nicca, good to see you again, hope your week hasn't been too busy?
Sppon, it's not that I've been busy. Just out of synch with normal time-space continuum. (see above!)
PDD - A Chav's exactly the same as a Ned, only they swap Kappa for Burberry. And I don't think they do the bizarre baseball cap angle thing or the nasal whine (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=scNLfr1EP08 Eh, please don't click on that link if you are easily offended! Though you may possibly need to be well acquainted with the Weegie vernacular to decipher it!).

Chav outing..... hmmm..... white miniskirt (tight, of course), stilettos, no tights (of course), crop top (of course), Burberry handbag and, if I'm feeling really cold, Burberry jacket on top. Would that be OK, do you think.pure_dead_dopey wrote: »I thought we could just wear jammies for the back alley, do they need to be chav jammies, what's a chav anyway? i don't know if we have them here? Does it involve white tracksuits with your trousers tucked in your socks????
Confused. Blue angel thingy is a defo then. will await advice re jammies...........
I hasten to add, i do not socialise in the alley in my pj's (which are not faded or bobbly by the way!) :rotfl:February NSD challenge 5/150 -
Oooooeeeerrrrrr........ I think my OH would approve of that dress!!!
Apparently he loved the (very) short skirts I wore to work 25 years ago, and I don't think my current preference for longer skirts has quite the same effect on himThe skirt on that dress would probably be seen (by him) as a pretty good compromise

Advice please.... does anyone know of any good herbal stuff for managing PMT?
I've noticed as i'm getting older it's getting so much worse, today's been a nightmare of a day largely cos i've felt like such a misery guts all day
Don't really want to take "proper" medication though if i can help it....
Spent again today, hate having 3 spend days on the trot, but i have looked at what i spent on & i feel ok about it. Postage Thursday, drinks last night & some DIY bits (that i have been putting off for ages) today (in the spirit of feeding my PMT spending monster!!), & there has been no thinking "oh well i'm spending anyway so i'd better get groceries and/or junk"
Think i'm going to hide in bed with my laptop tonight, as looking at the mess that is my downstairs is definitely adding my bad mood. I sometimes wonder why i didn't just accept i couldn't really afford to buy, & carried on renting rather than buying the cheapest house in the world, with dreams of doing it up (god knows how with enormous debts & therefore no money!!)
Consequently i can't use the back garden in the summer cos i have no fence, freeze to death in the winter cos i have no heating, store my food in the hallway on a bookcase cos the kitchen is no more than a oven with a bit of wood over the top, and started knocking all the walls down to change the downstairs layout, but now don't have the money to reinstate them!!!! Aargh
Oh well tomorrow's another day & i have ice cream in the freezer, so guess i'm not really that badly off at allFebruary NSD challenge 5/150 -
Hi fellow NSDers - Stonehenge sounds very good to me - I will check the stalls at the the car boot tomorrow as it's amazing what clothes people try to sell there - I've put the date in my diary.
Chavvy in Leeds eh - have to really put my thinking hat on for that one
But down to business - NSD number 4 for me Spoon - all going to plan so far ........ did I tempt fate just then
Oh and by the way Spoon, the sofa bed I put in the auction after buying my supa dupa 'new' sofa and chair last month, sold on Saturday for £22 - not bad as we bought it there for £22, used it for just short of a year and now sold it for £22 i.e. free for 11 months use:money:

Mmmmmmm.........I think I will be very :money:and use the outfit I wore to Glasgow in March for the Leeds bash :T. Will have to have a think about Stonehenge.PDD - A Chav's exactly the same as a Ned, only they swap Kappa for Burberry. What the? I have no idea what he was on about. I think I heard the word 'Mum'. Had to turn it off after 30 seconds as without a translater I was totally lost! Have just done a quick check on tinternet and I am ashamed to say that Great Yarmouth comes up quite a few times as being a 'Chavtown'.
I think they have their own name but can't find it at the moment. I live South of the river, the so-called 'posh part' of Yarmouth, so I really couldn't tell you what they look like! Knowing the stats though I would definitely say they had at least one child in tow.............we have some pretty appalling preggers stats here
ETA: OMG. Just read that back and I sound such a snob! I love it here, no, I really do!
NSD 3 today.
Oh....and BDINI?.......that's some cracking PMT you have there .......hope you feel better soon!
ETA: Found it!
A round of 1,500 'new' buzz-words has officially been sanctioned by the Collins' English Language Dictionary, one of interest being 'YARCO', an Irish slang word for someone from Eastern England. The new word has been also defined as the Great Yarmouth equivalent of "chav" - "a young working-class person who dresses in casual sports clothes" The word has also been added to the online website urbandictionary.com whose definition states:
“Someone who is of Yarmouth origin, usually roughly dressed with a distinctive Norfolk accent"Life is knowing which bridges to burn and which bridges to build!
