Gentle Jump into June? Did we mention NOT spending...(well this is the NSD challenge)

Good evening all, was busy at work today but insurance money came out of bank account today, and I only count days where no money leaves my account or my purse as NSDs - quite strict with myself, aren't I? Tomorrow I have to retrieve my car which is now fixed - a wiring fault of some sort. I also have shopping to do tomorrow plus DS martial arts class saturday, so I think Sunday will be my next NSD. However, next week should be more productive if I plan it right, as I am on annual leave.
Now, one very important thing to do - start planning the NSD gang end of month outing.....how do we top Brighton? Suppose we could have a belated Midsummer gathering at Stonehenge? Ideas anyone? One life - your life - live it!0 -
do i have to get dressed up again, still got the chaffing marks from my light saber...............and no barbeques, Hubert is stilllll producing purple pooh.More than Two Years in
Doing it the Niddy way:j:j:j0 -
Hello everyone. It's my first NSD challenge so be gentle. I'll have to make sure any payments to my one debt vs 100 days challenge are on shopping days he he. *Runs off to amend sig*
I'm not going to count any of my utility bills/min debt payments on DD - so just groceries, petrol & cash/debit card. Hope that's not cheating too much. It's all the unbudgeted stuff thats causing my debt overpayments to slow & I soooo want to bring my DFD forward more!
I'm going for a target of 10 NSDs in June. Zero so far tho'DFW Nerd #1219 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!...part 2
LBM August 2009 £25,019  [STRIKE]April 2011 £21,765[/STRIKE]
November 2012 £27,842  Took my eye off the ball & stopped reading MSEDebtfree target now July 2018  Poo!

Ooh, Stonehenge..... ooh, flower child...... I could go with that!! They have white druids at stonehenge at midsummer, do you think they could give me some tips on home brewing? I'd love to try making honey mead!!
NSD number 1 for me today - woohoo!!Trying to jump back onto the moneysaving wagon .... :cool:0 -
Stonehenge is a great idea. We need a sacrifice.......*looks around for likely candidates*........Let's find a troll!
Had a great day at Woburn today. Was a bit hot and animals were all in the shade, spoilsports.
Thought I'd get away with another NSD but forgot that at a safari park you DRIVE round, meaning you use PETROL, ESPECIALLY if you have to have air-con on because it's so blinkin' hot  (not allowed windows open due to monkeys/lions "Be careful animals can bite"......you don't say.....)
So we had to fill up on the way home (took three hours there, two and a half hours back:eek:). As DH paid for everything else I offered to pay for the petrol, well he did give me an NSD yesterday!
Herby, I was crying with you, what a lovely way to send off your puss......DH wants to bury our Dobey in the garden when the time comes.......cheered me up as I had visions of him hiring a JCB to dig the hole!
Life is knowing which bridges to burn and which bridges to build!

Don't forget the night out in Leeds drinking cider in our PJ's up the alley with the chav girls that live by me!!!!
Sorry to report a spend day today. Had an SAE for the PPI claim form but paid extra for signed for as i really don't want it to get lost & had to pop & buy a pint for my friend who took me to & from the train station for my hols... Quite LSD tho as i drank really slowly!!!!
Spend day tomorrow aswell as meeting a friend from my old job, but going to try & avoid groceries over the weekend to claw a couple back... fingers crossed!!!!!
Herb, your ritual didn't sound daft at all, i remember doing exactly the same thing with my childhood pets, & i think as long as we cope how doesn't matter. If it works for you be proud of it... & get stuck into the chocolate you deserve it!!! :grouphug:February NSD challenge 5/150 -

Lots more sunshine today, hope everyone got to enjoy at least a bit of it:j..
Lots more NSDs rolling in on today as well - great start everyone - and even more newbies joining us as well - welcome to you all:j
Looks as though the pony is going to be the prize this month for everyone’s first target, got some others in mind for the rest, will update them over the weekend;)
Welcome to:
clang_uk:  hi and welcome, it’s never to late to join us - you’re very welcome. Signing you up for 10 now. Look forward to lots of updates.
:jAnd well done for no 1 - off to a great start!
dmb:  hi and welcome, of course you can join us. Signing you up for 10 now.
:jAnd well done for no 1 - great start for you!
pipersky: :wave:hi and welcome, signing you up for 10 now. Good luck and don’t forget to keep updating us, you’ll get plenty of inspiration here as well and we’re just as friendly as the grocery thread. Oooh, new house.... hope the move goes well..
You’re more than welcome to join in with any of our nights out... just remember, no donkeys, dragons or elephants;)
:jAnd well done for no 1 - off the starting blocks now
Xevius:  hi and welcome, signing you up for 15 now. Nothing is cheating on this challenge (well, not strictly nothing..), you make your own rules and organise the challenge to suit your requirements and needs. A lot of people (me included) just count the unbudgeted spends as that’s our problem area, so you’re not alone there.
Good luck and keep posting - you’ll get lots of inspiration and support on here:)
Welcome back to:
gettingthereslowly:  hi and welcome back, of course we’ll have you back, good to see you again. Signing you up for 12 now
karmachilovething:  hi and welcome back, signing you up for 11 now - good luck. If the spending was planned, that’s fine, it’s the unplanned spends that are the problem, so don’t be too hard on yourself. Hope to see lots of updates from you over the next month
CraigLoans: :wave:hi and welcome back, good to see you again. Signing you up for 15 now, good luck.
Fingers crossed you made no 1 today
Well done to all the following:
:jteenyweenyspender: yay, no 3! Brilliant start to the month 3 out of 3..... yum to the roast chicken dinner, hope you enjoyed it.
:jjintyb: well done for no 2 - doing well this month.
You are so right, this challenge does make you think carefully about whether you really need to buy something... Hope the cardi stitching-up went OK? How about a picture of it when it’s finished - as your first major project?
Sorry you had a carp day today:(, we all need a treat sometimes, hope you enjoyed the piece of cake
:jin spired2: well done for no 2 - great start to the month for you also - keep going!
:jBigMumma: yay to no 2 - but even more thanks for your words about Iggie and losing people:T - life can be very cruel sometimes...
:jKrisp: great start for you as well - 3 out of 3 - brilliant.
Arrgh to not being able to find a clothes brush - what a pain!!!!:( Hope you manage to find one on Amazon - otherwise I think that famous store JL stocks them - might be able to get one off their website?
:jKeiss 21: well done for no 2 - great start for you this month. Fingers crossed for a spend-free weekend for you.
Industrious day for you, by the looks of it, hope you managed to make some progress on the quilt square. How’s the toe doing, by the way?
:jboultdj: well done for no 2 - great start to the month for you.
Hope the tomato plants grow and well done for taking your shopping list - always works!!
:jTMVen: great start to the month for you as well - yay to no 2!! Keep going!
:jslowlyfading: and a great start for you also - well done for no 2!! Hoping for lots more for you.
I see the moving out fund is growing as well - will pop along and say hi on your diary later - sorry for not visiting this week, been a bit busy on here..
:jkarenccs67: brilliant start to the month for you - 3 out of 3, that’s great! Keep going!
:jOlipopsMummy: yay.. no 1.... off the starting blocks now - brilliant.
I’ve just noticed your signature - we’re going to have a junior NSD-er next month by the looks of it - congratulations!:T
:jmoneypenny2k: yes, of course you can bring your pet heffalump to the next do - as long as he’s housetrained and doesn’t spread purple poo everywhere, he’s fine;)
And well done for no 2 - great start to the month for you!
:jcw18: yay - no 2 for you, that’s brilliant - well done!! Great whoopsie resisting going on there today (although admittedly due to lack of space in freezer...)
:jempy: yipppee indeed.. well done for no 1 - that’s brilliant.
Oh dear to pay situation with the new job:(, but good luck with the ebaying and taking the stuff back to the shop
:jkatenut: yay... no 1..off the starting blocks now, brilliant.. woohoo indeed!
And hello to everyone else:
mz_grim: fingers crossed you made an NSD yesterday:)
jwil: fingers crossed for you for today - good luck!:)
rachelmk: well done for resisting the choccy - raspberries are much better for you and that was a brilliant price!:)
franby64: don’t worry, you have lots more potential NSDs ahead. The secret is definitely planning ahead and being organised - menu planners work well for a lot of people, maybe worth a try?:)
LadyfromVenice: Glad you had a good day today, not surprised the animals were in the shade, it’s only humans who are idiotic enough to go out in the sun!!!
Oooh, animals bite, do they - talk about speaking the bloomin’ obvious:rotfl:...
BDINI: oh dear to a spend day today:(, but only a low spend day by the looks of it, so that’s OK. Hope you enjoy tomorrow’s meet up with your friend and fingers crossed for no spends over the weekend.
No NSD for me today, grocery shopping, but I stuck religiously to my list so very pleased with myself.
Off to do the update and add all the newbies now, see you all tomorrow.
'night all

Like that idea Nargle, floating around Stonehenge in a druid costume drinking katenut's home brewed honey mead sounds good to me, although moneypenny's purple heffalump might cause a few problems:rotfl:. Pig roast sounds good, although if the worst came to the worst we could spit roast a troll as a sacrifice:rotfl:
No chafing involved with druid costumes, pdd, so you should be OK with that....
We've also got the night out in Leeds to look forward to (thanks for putting us up BDINI) and I think Nottoobadyet inadvertently invited us to her housewarming in London, near Camden Lock... apparently we can all get inappropriate piercings very cheaply ....
Seems as though we have a busy month ahead of us - never mind all the birthdays coming along as well:rotfl::rotfl:
Get your diaries booked up now, NSD-ers:j:jThe time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time
