Gentle Jump into June? Did we mention NOT spending...(well this is the NSD challenge)

  • NSD 2 today.

This was totally unexpected though. We are going to Woburn Safari park tomorrow (Tesco vouchers :money:) so needed to get some food to take with us (also :money:). When we got to A$da DH said he would pay for it :T.

We have enough liquid gold in the car for the journey (two hours so expecting lots of "Are we there yet?") and DH will probably buy the icecreams/tat tomorrow so fingers crossed for another NSD tomorrow!

Herby, sorry to hear of your loss. Be back soon.

AllieBallie - If the only spends I have in a day are on behalf of someone else (and to be re-imbursed), then I still count the day as an NSD. I picked up some margarine for DD as I left work yesterday, though I got the money back within a couple of hours so definitely an NSD for me. But during school term I pick up the Wednesday morning snacks for the pre-school and reception classes on a Tuesday evening, which isn't reimbursed until Wednesday (school gets the benefit of my staff discount, as there's no way my annual grocery budget will get me anywhere near the maximum I'm allowed - and even with DD having my second card for when she's in store I'm still a loooooong way off the max). That's not my shopping and I know I'll get the money back, so it doesn't count in my eyes.

Hi Herby, I am so sorry to hear this. Sometimes older puds can go downhill really quickly with no explanation or reason (happened to mine a couple of years ago). You gave him a loving home and he was clearly cherished and had a happy life, you couldn't wish for any more for him. Part of being a responsible pet owner is knowing when to let go, although it's incredibly hard and very painful you did the right thing.
    Thinking about you.
(((((Hugs))))) Herby, thinking of you too xx

    Wonderful sentiment Spoon...thankyou.

Our cat (19 years old) died pretty quickly and at home, within a few hours of becoming poorly. It was heart-breaking at the time, especially for the boys, who had never know life without her. Then the next day our 10 year old goldfish died too...not a great couple of days for the family.

A spending day today, have spent over half our budget already :eek:. So a lot of planning is required to make my target this month!! :o

The chocolate and beetroot brownies that thewerewolf didn't run off with on Monday are disappearing fast, DS2 loves them...I have to admit they are the scrummiest yet!

It is a HFW recipe, find it here.

Off to bed early tonight, absolutely shattered. I was going to do some sewing, but unable to think or see straight atm, so bed methinks!!

    Night, night.

Thanks Cheryl, it makes sense not to count the ones where you'll get reimbursed as you'll get the money back...however since i've declared it I'll keep it down as a low spend day!

Yeah I have my first NSD!!!! Being at work for 11 hours helped but took my own food and resisted popping out to the newsagent. Drove to work and back on the red petrol light so I definately won't manage another NSD tomorrow.

What ...... when .......... why ........... good god where am I? Spoon? PDD? Katenut? LFV? BigMumma? anyone? where are you all? Last thing I remember is going off to the aquarium on Brighton sea-front to rescue the donkeys from the piranahs - then, nothing ........... I must have blacked-out or something - just what did you put in that vodka Spoon? has everyone gone home? what are all these pebbles on the ground? and what are all those donkeys doing? what on earth have I just put my hand in? Ugh it's reddish purple - a bit like beetroot really but a bit too 'processed' for my liking!

Lets see - I remember the flight down with me helium balloons (great views of London by the way - that new Wembley stadium looks fantastic), landing on top of the Pavilion, getting down with me ladders from me stockings (ruined my circus look - nothing worse that a beautiful basque with laddered stockings), drinking lots of vodka, trying to keep BigMumma away from the firemen (they didn't stand a chance poor things), the menagerie on the beach (donkeys, horse, dragon, cow, and aliens of course), having a lovely BBQ steak (oops delete one of those donkeys), then searching for everyone at the aquarium as I'd heard that the gang had took the donkeys to feed the piranahs so I'd gone off to find them, I remember going into the aqaurium, then Kapow - it was just like the lights went out ................... until just now

So either I blacked-out or my internet connection went down and has just gone back on today. Did everyone get back OK - by horse, dragon, lawnmower, Werewolf, .......... etc? Good night wasn't it - I think - ouch my head!!!

Back to the world of reality - first time to catch up (and it took me ages to get to this point in the thread) and I'm reporting NSD's number 1 & 2 Spoon and tomorrow should be NSD too but will wait and see

P.S. yes my internet cut off at 12.05 am Monday night mid post and only came back on at 12.10 pm today - been catching up since - got so bored I even resorted to housework - eekK

Don't know why there are exclamation marks there, what is wrong with the expression pu$$y cat? I thought pu$$y was only an offensive term in America - someone ought to tell the forum technobods that we speak proper English here, not the pidgin kind wot they speak of in America....
They're paranoid, Nargle, only explanation I can think of for that word being banned.... political correctness gone mad:mad::mad:... and I'm getting off my soapbox now, sorry everyone for the rant:o:o
