Today was a spend day....... just toooooo much coming up for bakery reductions tonight for me to be able to sit on my hands at home instead of heading back down for a last [strike]minute[/strike] 40 minute shop ;)

Plain Bagels - £1.29 (full price, but BOGOF)
    Date & Walnut Cob (400g) [strike]£1.39[/strike] 19p
    Tub 25 mini Flapjacks [strike]£1.99[/strike] 19p (x2)
    Best Parisienne Stick [strike]85p[/strike] 19p
    Best Seeded Baguette [strike]89p[/strike] 19p
    Crusty Seeded Bloomer (400g) [strike]£1.39[/strike] 19p
    Pack 4 Mini Batons [strike]69p[/strike] 9p
    Best Multigrain Loaf (800g) [strike]£1.19[/strike] 19p
    Pack 4 Fruited Scones [strike]69p[/strike] 19p
    Pack 4 Plain Scones [strike]69p[/strike] 19p
    Wholemeal & Cracked Wheat Cob (400g) [strike]69p[/strike] 19p
    Crusty Onion Cob (400g) [strike]£1.39[/strike] 19p
Pack 2 Lemon Meringue Cakes (a new line I want to try) [strike]£1.39[/strike] 19p
    Pack 5 Raspberry Donuts [strike]69p[/strike] 19p

    Shelf edge prices total £17.21
    Till total £3.85
Cost to me (after staff discount) £3.46 - though I count it through my GC challenge budget as £3.85, and put the 39p staff discount into my sealed jar :)

Now I need to find the unopened box of freezer bags I've seen in the house recently, as I need to split the loaves into 2 or 4 slice portions and shoe-horn them into my freezers rolleyes.gif

Hoping for an NSD today, but feeling rather carp so may go buy a huge bar of chocolate. I had to have my adorable little black shadow of a kitty kat put to sleep this morning :( He went really poorly over night and got to the stage where he couldn't even walk this morning, how can it happen so fast? He was old but I truly wasn't expecting this. Anyway ladies if I'm not around for a few days I will be back, will try and keep a tight hold on my purse but currently feel like nothing matters, silly I know but he was my little baby and I miss him so much already. Hope everyone else has a better day than me.

    Herby

Hi Herby, I am so sorry to hear this. Sometimes older puds can go downhill really quickly with no explanation or reason (happened to mine a couple of years ago). You gave him a loving home and he was clearly cherished and had a happy life, you couldn't wish for any more for him. Part of being a responsible pet owner is knowing when to let go, although it's incredibly hard and very painful you did the right thing.

    Thinking about you.

Herby, so so sorry to hear about your cat, sending big hugs your way :grouphug:
Wish I had some words of wisdom that would help to make you feel better, I know how hard it is when you lose a cherished pet :(

Cheryl, there is no way I could have resisted those whoopsies either!! I would feel that I had to eat them all as soon as possible though, just in case there wasn't room in the freezer :)

Sadly a LSD for me today, should have been a NSD but I messed up again. I have got to get better at this!

Nice to see so many new people on here!!

Spoon, if you get chance could I please have my Pink Elephant for May? I just scraped my final NSD on Monday - phew! Thanks for all your hard work on here - I dont know how you keep track of everyone now! :A

Thank you all, my fellow NSDers. The Birthday wishes made me smile :j

I'm pleased to report that today was also an NSD. I went to B & Q an spent some of my gift card money on grow bags and a nice half knackered sage plant from their bargain bin...oooh and some plant labels....can never have enough of 'em.

    2/12 NSD's. I feel like an :A

Boo hiss. Spend day for me today (£2.20 to be exact!) - My friend at work left her purse on the bus this morning and so had no money for lunch so i offered to buy her lunch (she chose an egg and cress sandwich and an apple if you're interested?!).

She got her purse back, thankfully with all money and cards still in it, but I'd gone home by that time so she sent me a message and said she'd pay me back tomorrow :) so fingers crossed for a NSD tomorrow!
