I had a late start as my carer slept in and someone else had to cover for her - then the shop i was intending to go to after lunch I remembered shut at 12 so i had to go out and do that before i went to the church lunch - i didnt have to help today so had my lunch, won a hand painted tealight holder in the raffle and then sat in the garden with a friend for halfan hour.
Then i went to Boots - I did intend to do another couple of things but it was too hot so came home and caught up here.
I tidied my desk and started packing while waiting on the carer this morning.
1 x WM done

better go check my shopping list in case there is anything I do need to go back to town for.

I've been to THREE garden centres/nurseries. Couldn't really find what I wanted - part of the problem with the beds being completely empty is knowing where to start, and it isn't really the right time of year. I'd hoped I could find some sweetpeas, but I guess I'm either too late or nowhere is stocking them. I did find a clematis and a couple of other bits and pieces that I now need to deal with before I head of to my brother's....0 -
Afternoon everyone
Been a busy couple of days at work and then last night I picked the kids up from Mum and Dad's and went straight out to a friends for the evening. There were several kids all having a DVD night whilst us adults caught up over a drink or two.Done the maths... can't afford one on my own... either financially (they cost about £150,000 between birth and 21st birthday apparently) or emotionally....
If you wait until your are financially secure it will never happen! No one in their right mind would have kids if it was all based on the affordability factor. It's like everything else, you have to cut your cloth accordingly. I know it is not costing us in excess of £14k for Miss A and W, if the figures were right then Piggers would be forking out over £57k a year for her brood :eek:are you all trying to put me off...we only have a girls name anyway so fingers crossed!
I was so surprised when W appeared as I was convinced he was going to be a girl, we had no boys names either.
Yikes, I was just having some boiled sweets and part of my tooth has crumbled away :( It's never happened before and feels awful, thankfully not painful at the moment! Bet it is when I have a hot or cold drink. It's bad enough Miss A and W losing wobbly teeth naturally without me adding to the mix!Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
DH has got his grandmother's Singer sewing machine from the loft - DD is in love :happyhear
We've done loads in the garden - weeding, planting beans, sweetcorn, lettuce and sunfowers, watering. The garden needs rain, but we have 8 for a barbeque tomorrow eveningGood job DH bought a whole chicken and veg to do a roast, in case of rain :rotfl:
I have sent for the application for DD1's EMA for September.. BUT.. as she is not 16 until July we don't seem to be able to open her a bank account!!! How insane is that?!
My 2 have had an HSBC account in their own name since they were in primary school
