Done HHCs in kitchen and LR each and then ran out of steam/decided to weed out e-mails, which took longer than I thought. I'll get a quick lunch (had late breakfast), put WM on and then DS2 and I will be off out to run some errands. Best find my list from earlier.

nannyboo - hope you feel better soon..

Feeling fine today but frustrated as can't go to visit pa in law in hospital today don't want to risk giving it to him of anything lingers (but as don't like hospitals almost have panic attacks that is a good thing in a strange way).

So of course I am busy finishing of my list NAH I am watching a rerun of Morse on TV and on here but I am thinking about doing some Flying soon. then I may have a bath and read lol.

Lawn mowed, so garden is starting to look reasonably tidy. I have about a million pelargoniums to pot up, but want to go and look for stuff to put in the beds (the poppies I shoved in on Thursday evening are looking rather worse for wear, so they may not make it)

I also need to face the fact that I'm going to have to cut the hedge sometime soon...

But if anyone has any tips about getting OH's involved I would greatly appreciate them..

I have given up asking as it ends up sounding like nagging after the first few times. I now just give him the list of things I need doing and tell him if he wants me to go out anywhere on a Sunday/play on the Wii/etc then the jobs need doing before then. Sunday is the only day in the week when we can do anything for us if that makes sense.

My friend finds that the withdrawal of bedroom aerobics works in her case lol.

Another friend actually stopped doing everything she normally does in a week and her hubby soon started to pull his weight. I guess it is a case of knowing which strings to pull with your OH.

Morning all I don't know what happened to the heavy showers we were supposed to have today - must keep an eye on the plants, as I didn't water much last night in anticipation.

I'm not too far from you in North Lincolnshire and all the reports I have seen for here are for tomorrow so maybe rain will be over there with you tomorrow.

I can't wait (ducks everyone throwing rotten tomatoes) as I hate the heat and hoe the rain cools things down a bit.

    2. Vacuum downstairs
    3. Sort out spare room

Thanks Nannyboo and Vanilla. I know what you mean about nagging and usually just ask once for something to be done, because I don't want to nag, but have been getting more and more het up, the more things aren't done, hence the little rant earlier. I am feeling much better now though, think having the day to myself is a good thing.

I think the list ideas may help, he usually claims he has forgotten I asked, so that will give him no excuse (after I said it was too late to do the clematis because his dinner was nearly done he told me to nag him about it or he would forget to do it).

Sadly I tried the not doing things I would normally until he noticed / did it. I am not going to say exactly how long it took for the bathroom to get cleaned, it was

Not sure if I want to try your other suggestion :o, although after reading all the children / toddler posts it might be a good idea!

Well, I have managed to cross 10 things off my list today but it is scorchio and has zapped me for the last few hours.

Think a HHC is in order now though to make up for the last couple of hours of SOAADFA.
