Besides, I can't think of a single person who'd be pleased to have me show up on their doorstep.:(

Me!!! I love visitors (provided they come to see me and don't expect a clean and tidy house, as that's still some way off :o). DH prefers to go out to socialise, which is a bit of a bind.

Sidney looks really cute. I hope you can have more canine company soon.

Thanks for the water advice, I will probably just email the agent as I don't know if/where we have a cold water tank. If we do it's in the loft. I did wonder if it was something like that as it happened after I'd used all the hot water in the bath etc.

Been out for a bit, still feel carp and sorry for myself. fine whilst i'm sitting but as soon as i stand/walk just feel exhausted and dizzy. Pigpen you could be right, I might be leaving it too long between meals. Think I have just overdone it this weekend too.

am going to have a bit of a lie down and then hang up the bedding I washed earlier.

Back from town - the traffic was heaving.

Managed to get a few bits I wanted and a few I didnt. The one thing that I forgotten before I went out and thought I would remember, I didnt until I just went to the loo and realised it was a new loo roll holder I needed :o.

Am now going to tackle the landing and stairs firstly with a brush then a damp cloth. Then I need to start on the middle room which became a dumping ground when we decorated the front room, but DD and her friend are in there watching a DVD as we still havent worked out how to wire everything up in the LR since I took all the wires out to clean!

LW - Sidney is gorgeous no wonder you feel a little blue

wilf55 - hope the headache goes swiftly

newlywed - fingers crossed for the job interview coming up

Just realised how quiet it is this afternoon, thought I'd come back to loads.

    Anyway better get on

I think asking £5 for 300+ pices of K'nex sounds fine but would appreciate anyone else's input.
    ..

I paid £5 plus p&p for 250 new pieces from ebay a couple of months back. Depends what bits they are too as some are more popular than others.

one of these 'round tuit' jobs has been done...

some weeks ago I bought kit kat chunkys - and one was 'all kit and no kat' (wafer missing). Have FINALLY written letter and sent it, with the evidence (teeth marks removed)...
DS (who was the consumer) was mightily shocked, not least because it had been in the fridge and was rock solid.

And it's been in the room, waiting to be sent, for at least 3 weeks rolleyes.gif

    time for HS1599.gifcoffee.gif

ta FFP - I'll go with a tenner ONO since there'll be no P&P and see if I get any joy...
    what happened to your siggy?

Did you know there's a vote for me thread (arms I think)

LW Do you do doggy B+B or something? Sidney is gorgeous, I do like a dog with eyebrows:rotfl:
I'm signed up as a host for a company that offers an alternative for people who don't want to send their dog to kennels when they go on holiday - instead, the dog stays with a host family, in the host's home, and is treated as a family pet. Obviously I can't name the company here, or I'd be contravening MSE rules.;)

The beauty of it also from my point of view, being scared of people as I am, is that I don't meet the owners - the lady who has the franchise for this area collects the dog and brings him/her to me, so she's the only person I have to deal with.

She has information sheets on all her hosts, so the owners know something about the person their dog will stay with - f'r instance, mine includes the fact that walkies will be done using a mobility buggy, and it includes a picture of me and Mr LW with Molly, who is Mr LW's friend's Labrador.

The dog brings their own bed, toys, food - everything they need, all I have to do is feed, walk, administer any medication they're on, and provide cuddles and games and general tlc. It's great!:o Mr LW helps lots, too, such as giving Sidney his insulin injections (me and needles is NOT a good mix!), and he'll do walkies for me if I'm feeling very unwell - at weekends, he comes out for walkies with me and woofer anyway, just because he can!:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
