AnW'smum - Oakes looks lovely, was it a school organised thing or something you arranged

It is great and even though it's is and has been persisting it down here today they will have been having a great time.
Can anybody tell me if the overflow pipe on central heating systems is supposed to have a downpipe on it as I thought it was and we caught DS about to go under it tonight as it was poring red hot water all over the garden I thought it was supposed to but not sure now:question: It was the first time it has happened since we have been in this house so need to get it sorted if it is.

Our boiler is in the garage and the overflow is a 15mm diameter pipe that comes out the bottom of the boiler and then tracks outside the garage to a drain. Try googling your boiler for a parts diagram which should help.

Well we have been quite productive (we in the very loose sense of the word!) W watched TV and I moved furniture round. Mum and Dad then helped me get an old wardrobe out and replace it with 2 sets of two drawer filing cabinets which are stacked in here. There is space for some stuff from the ROD of doom to come up here now.

Mum built a wooden T rex with W whilst Dad and I sorted out moving hosts for DH's website.

Now I have to put all the stuff from the wardrobe into the filing cabinets!

:coffee: first anyone care to join me? I shall restock ebay whilst I am drinking mine.

I'm signed up as a host for a company that offers an alternative for people who don't want to send their dog to kennels when they go on holiday - instead, the dog stays with a host family, in the host's home, and is treated as a family pet. Obviously I can't name the company here, or I'd be contravening MSE rules.;)

The beauty of it also from my point of view, being scared of people as I am, is that I don't meet the owners - the lady who has the franchise for this area collects the dog and brings him/her to me, so she's the only person I have to deal with.

She has information sheets on all her hosts, so the owners know something about the person their dog will stay with - f'r instance, mine includes the fact that walkies will be done using a mobility buggy, and it includes a picture of me and Mr LW with Molly, who is Mr LW's friend's Labrador.

The dog brings their own bed, toys, food - everything they need, all I have to do is feed, walk, administer any medication they're on, and provide cuddles and games and general tlc. It's great!:o Mr LW helps lots, too, such as giving Sidney his insulin injections (me and needles is NOT a good mix!), and he'll do walkies for me if I'm feeling very unwell - at weekends, he comes out for walkies with me and woofer anyway, just because he can!:D

That sounds like a great idea. All the fun and none of the cost or ties.;)

GnB I tried to pm this but youi've exceeded your quota apparently

DS is revising and has to write a formula for the sum of n, n+1 and n+2 in the simplest form.

    I think 3n+3

    thanks for loooking!

Evening All, I'm doing well, I'm managing level ones and twos now for the most part, and some level threes. I even cleaned all my paintwork and doors on Sunday! :D Jumping in for two things:

mummy's little boy the need for a downpipe is a relatively new reg and depends on where the overflow is, if you are getting your boiler serviced by a GAS Safe engineer, he should be notifying you if it isn't installed to the correct current legal standard.

And secondly, have any of you heard from Diva yet, we still haven't and I assume that means you haven't either, but thought I'd check as we're all beginning to worry, and SunnyGirl hasn't been online for a good while either, and I know they normally have contact with each other. I'll try and keep an eye out here in case you have/do, but if you hear anything, would one of you be kind enough to stick it on the Daily?

    Thanks Flygals! XX

It took a fair bit of willpower today, but I've done all I can do of the list.:o

Tuesday ~ Living room, hall and stairs!
    Level One
Declutter floors and vacuum them Done (Mr LW)
    Dust and deweb Done
    Level Two
Vacuum under furniture you can safely move Done (Mr LW)
Clean and tidy the porch! It's tidy! There's nothing on it! (It's not an enclosed porch, in any case) Will get Mr LW to sweep it – see note below re outside of front door.
    Clean fire and surround Done
    Level Three
Sort coats and bags and shoes.. esp. school bags! All clean, tidy and in their place.
Wash front door.. both sides! Inside done; outside will have to wait for Mr LW to be here, as I'm scared to go out there alone.
Make any important appointments you have been putting off.. smear? Dentist? hairdresser.. whatever! N/A – all my medical appointments are sorted and I don't do hairdressers.
    Extras
    1. Clean the car.. inside and out.. get the minions to help (or do it for you!) I'll have a job – Mr LW's got it in Letchworth!!:p (Actually, it's one of Mr LW's regular Sunday tasks, along with checking the tyres, oil and washer bottle, so it's been done this week).
    2. Empty and tidy out a grotty cupboard! Done
    3. HHI HHWii instead.
    4. Wash any smelly soft furnishings! Put for washing on cheap leccy overnight. Now that I don't have a canine guest sleeping in the kitchen, it's back to doing the washing at night.:money:
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Morning all,

Well the morning so far has already become stressful - the possible venue for our wedding reception called and said that they couldn't do any of the things we wanted (date, location, time etc), and so they are going to call back and rethink things.

Hope you manage to get it sorted :A

    thanks Pen...

I left the cone question but we first had to calculate the length of the cone (I say we...) well, we knew how high it was and the diameter so, to me, looked like a simple enough Pythagorus job...

I am not doing anymore of today's list, instead I am tidying the room and putting stuff in their proper places. That is easy enough, I am then aiming on keeping it that way so I can clean when it comes around again next week.
